These PC38x are Great for gaming
These headphones sound so great. These are wired not wireless. The length of the cord for me are long enough. The design is good, not too much going on but it really has that simple good looking, they are light, feels really good on my ears. The sound stage is good, range of sound, paired with an external sound card is great. I advise to get a external, or if you have an internal sound card. These headphones so much better with a little push from a amp sound card. I use these headphones for gaming, and I'm loving the sounds, just so clear, not distorted. I would recommend for gaming with a little push from a sound blaster.

A great headset for a bit more.
Disclaimer: I'm not an audio expert or even an audiophile, so bear in mind that despite the lengthy review, I am not a qualified "expert" and this is just my opinion based on my limited experience with this product. The PC38X is a light, comfortable headset which at first glance almost gives off a cheaper vibe due to its light weight, and heavy use of plastic rather than metal materials. The weaker initial appearance is immediately redeemed by its comfort as soon as it's placed on your head, as its lightness is actually an advantage, favouring comfort - I can easily wear this all day without getting a sore head or neck. The ear pads are soft enough to comfortably fit your head and ears shape, and firm enough not to compromise the isolation. The clamping force is just right, an improvement over my previous HyperX Cloud Alpha headset which always lacked clamping force which ultimately resulted in compromised bass levels. They also come with what appears to be a spare set of smaller, softer replacement pads - clearly, Sennheiser valued comfort for this headset, which makes sense considering it is part of their selection of gaming-oriented headphones. The sound quality is good, with an extremely noticeable bass boost over the HyperX Cloud Alpha. The bass is rather well balanced, although it can sometimes overpower the mids. The high are crisp and clear; hats, cymbals, and other thin sounds are clear and can be heard through other heavier, deeper sounds. The mids such as vocals however, tend to lack that extra crispness I would hope for when listening to music. The bass may be a bit too loud to allow the mids to rise to expectations, but overall the benefits of hearing clear bass and highs alongside generally good mids makes me overlook the mids' shortcoming. These are open back headphones, so I'll add a little note here in case you are not familiar with what this means - these are not noise-cancelling, like, at all. Expect to hear almost completely clearly through your headset, and people may hear through your headset. This favours audio quality, but may not be the right choice if you are in a noisy environment, or you don't want anyone around to hear the sounds coming from your headset. The microphone's audio quality isn't the best thing in the world but it works just fine, and meets my expectations for a headset microphone. I immediately loved that the mic boom is completely outside of my field of vision when flipped up, something I had been concerned about when ordering the PC38X, coming from a headset with a removable mic. My only criticism would be that the lack of distance adjustment results in me having to lower the mic completely to prevent breathing noise from my nose, and this results in my mouth being too far from the mic to be heard clearly at times.Included is also a carrying bag which is pretty standard and nothing to call home about, but is an appreciated extra item. Otherwise, it comes with the usual cables and whatnot. The cable seems a bit small compared to what I had on my HyperX Cloud Alpha and therefore gives off a cheaper impression, but otherwise it's a nice, braided cable which has no noticeable flaws.Overall, I would recommend this headset for comfort and audio quality if you're in the market for open back headphones you can wear for hours on a daily basis, and you're ready to pay a bit more than your typical standard gaming headset. I work 8 hours shifts, and watch videos/listen to music as well as gaming outside of work hours, wearing these well over 8 hours daily. I've only ever felt my ears getting sore once, after a very long day of work and then gaming, so I don't blame the headset at all.Hope this review helps shoppers make an informed decision.

won’t own any other pair of
First time trying to open back headphone and let me tell you just wow I won’t be owning any other style of headphones. I thought I wouldn’t like the oven back, but I absolutely love it and it keeps me aware of my surroundings .my wife can’t sneak up on me anymore, someone rings the doorbell. I can hear it and the most important thing for those with kids or living in an apartment. It keeps your volume low because you can hear yourself and how loud you’re being.

Not worth the price tag
I bought these to upgrade from my $50 razer headphones and ended up downgrading. After downloading an eq app to try and get the sound I was looking for it only further pushed the razer set ahead. The eq app made the razers hit the low bass I was looking for while the drop epos ended up clipping try to reach close to the same level of low bass. They would sound decent if you dont have anything to compare them too but I would spend my money else where. They are also very tight on the head and over all less comfortable in every way.

Use this for gaming. For when you want to hear where the enemy actually is.
Basically wall hacks, this is crazy, I've had top of the line Razer headsets, Logitech headsets, even 3 driver IEMs and nothing has ever let me hear this precise on call of duty games, or really any game. Actually 100% is a game changer.I use with razer 7.1 surround sound on pc, should work with any. All necessary cables included one for ps5/xbox and one for PC. Comes with extra pads for the ears. Not much bass but, I'm not looking for that, can feel like it's not as loud as you want but that's because the noises you hear are far away and not important. The sound is amazing quality. The pc cord is plenty long enough and the other cord is perfect for a controller. I do not use the mic so I can't tell you about that.Feels great on the head and not awkward. Plus you can hear the wife and kids yelling for you downstairs because the amazing open back design.

not loud enough
I researched a decent amount beore buying these. They have a lot of people who are super high on them. I specifically wanted open back so you can hear the ambient noise because my back is to the door with my setup, and they do that well. They are lightweight, flexible, and comfortable. However, they are WAY too quiet. The maxed out audio is as loud as what i would normally consider 50-60%. Based on the low reviews on this site it seems to me they have low quality control. There are a lot of 1 and 2 star reviews but the complaints are not consistent. The microphone seems to be pretty good, but it's left side only. Not sure if that is common, but it'd be cool if you could switch. I like them but i'm definitely returning them. If they send me replacements that are actually loud enough to hear then i'll update. I have checked all other settings and used the headphones on multiple computers/gaming systems just to be sure. I'd pick something else at this point in time. it's a shame b/c they feel really nice and i like the sound quality.

This is my second pair of these. The first pair of still works good. Just needed a second pair for my new office. Tried a bunch of different ones and still went back to these. Sound quality is amazing. Would definitely recommend these
