Plant Based - NOT Plastic! We love finding and using alternatives to plastic. They are unscented. These bags work as well as plastic versions, not rips or tears. They stretch as well as regular kitchen garbage bags (NOT the Flexible kind), are easy to open and feel the same as regular plastic garbage bags. The weight feels the same and they are hey to hold our trash and slightly compress prior to taking to the dumpster. We have been using these for years and have never had one split. You may pay a little more than your run of the mill brands, but the satisfaction of no plastic is priceless. Highly recommended!

I like these Are Plant-Based and have handles, but going back to using the Hippo Ocean Plastic Grey Bags as they are larger and seem stronger.

I love these bags. They are really strong (contrary to what one other reviewer said). I load them full. And the full bags are often heavy. I use them in a tall narrow trash can that fits so snugly when the bag is full that it creates suction when I try to pull the bag out, so I usually have to pull really hard to get it out. I then have to carry the full bags down to the trash room in the building basement. I've never had a tear. Also, they are truly unscented. Me, I loathe scented trash bags and don't know why they exist. The handles tie nicely.
