This is a solid tool with a well designed grip handle. Great to get into all those knots and trigger point for pain relief! Great value for money as it is a solid product! Unsure what material it is (I should’ve paid closer attention) but it is very heavy yet smooth enough to glide (with some oil).

This device is not as you might expect from the description made of a solid piece of stone machined into shape, but is made up of some sort of clay or powder matrix that has been hardened in some manner so it is rather brittle. Mine arrived broken in half with lots of fine dust in the bag, so presumably the packet took a knock. Given that it is fragile and being fulfilled by Amazon it ought to be at least packaged in bubble wrap or a tiny protective box. I liked the design but given the composition of the thing I decided not to bother buying another and instead bought a Jade massage tool from China which is made out of a solid piece of Jade and looks nicer than this characterless black.

I have a terrible knot just under my shoulder blade and it’s really deep and nothing else seems to get to it. This is the only thing I’ve found that can reach it.
