Works as advertised. Amazing.
This is an amazing product for vacuuming dry stuff. It separates cyclonically and collects in the bucket. I just finished cutting sheet material from plywood. 8 sheets of plywood cut to make 30 drawers, on poplar runners and 3/4” carcas. Drawers are 4””-8” and cabinet is 6’x7’. From the cutting to size all of all of the 240 parts going into this project, I collected one 5 gallon bucket of sawdust to the top, and maybe a 5% filled dust bag in the shop vac. This is a huge money saver on dust bags for dry product waste.

Worked Well to Collect Concrete Grinding Dust
This worked well for me when grinding down a concrete floor. It collected a lot of the fine dust. The wheel bracket attachment method to the collection canister is poor. The kit comes with some double side sticky tape to secure the wheel brackets. The drawing showed a flat land area on the wheel bracket that wasn't there in my kit. This didn't look very secure and was going to be trouble in the future. The instructions also suggested attaching the wheel brackets with 1/4 inch nuts and bolts which were not supplied. The bolt holes were already there on the wheel brackets. I ended up drilling the canister and securing the wheel brackets with 1/4 x 1/2 inch nuts and bolts and plain washers. There are 3 bolts holes per wheel bracket. Now the wheels won't fall off. As others have mentioned, the hoses tend to pull off but can be secured with user supplied hose clamps. I didn't do this as I wasn't moving my setup around much and I needed to flush out the hose at the end of each concrete grinding session.

Dust Deputy: Works better than advertised!
The Dust Deputy has far exceeded my expectations. I watched a review of cyclone dust separators from the Wood Whisperer and he recommended the Oneida Dust Deputy. The product claimed to remove 99% of the dust before it got to my shop vac. I've been using it and 99% would seem to be possibly conservative. I am getting almost no dust through to the bin or filter in my shop vac. I even vacuumed up some bits of styrofoam. Since it was so light, I was sure it would get pulled through to the vacuum canister. It swirled around in the cyclone chamber and when I turned the power off, it dropped into the bucket. Pros: - Captures nearly all of the dust so my shop vac filter stays clean and operating at full power - Even extremely fine dust stays in the bucket. - Uses two buckets - one with wheels bolted to the side of the shop vacuum and one to pull out and dump. This makes it very easy to empty the bucket. - The top comes off easily when it's time to empty the bucket - Easy to assemble with clear instructions - Bolts easily to the side of the shop vac for stability - Wheels help with mobility - Fittings worked well with my shop vac hose Cons - The hoses just fit on rather than screwing in as they did on my shop vac so I can't pull it around by the hose anymore. To fix this, you would have to have different fittings for different brands of vacuums so it's probably not practical for them to solve this - With the Dust Deputy attached to my vacuum, it doesn't roll as easily anymore. I could have chosen to not attach it so this isn't a big deal either. Summary: It works incredibly well in removing the dust so it doesn't plug my shop vac dust filter and is very easy to clean up. I wish I had gotten this years ago and would highly recommend it to any woodworkers who don't have dedicated dust collection systems.

Don't waste time trying to make this – just buy it!
I'm a huge DIY type of guy and when I saw the price on most of these systems, I was absolutely not going to do it. Instead, I bought a couple of buckets and some plumbing parts and try to make my own following YouTube advice that they seem to have good success with. At the end of the day, I wasted all that time effort and money and I should've just bought this product. Absolutely works flawlessly and helps keep my shop vac (originally) and now dust collector as clean as a whistle. Could not be happier and would absolutely recommend to everyone. I love the design and the increased suction power because it keeps my filters clean. The product seems to be made durably. If I had one knock is that the maneuverability isn't great if you're attaching it to a shop vac but if you're using it with a dust collector, you will absolutely have no issues

Is one of the best pieces of kit, thankfully got this on a special deal, so paid no where near the £200+ being asked currently. Been using it with a Bosch GAS 30 on my house reno and the amount of dust it catches is unreal. Only the finest plaster dust gets into the filter bag. With Bosch bags being £7-8ea and being to empty so easily its definitely a welcome addition.

This will make your shop vac bulkier, but boy does it ever work well! You will save money on filters. You will be saving the messy job of cleaning and/or replacing shop vac filters, and you will save money by not having to buy a new shop vac every few years because drywall dust has destroyed the bearings. If you deal with fine dust, like abrasive drywall dust, this thing is a MUST HAVE. You will maintain full suction, and not have to screw around trying to knock the dust out of your shop vac filter which will quickly plug up if you don't have one of these. I've had one for 20 years and it is still going strong. I bought this one for my daughter and son-in-law. You will never regret buying this product even though it may cost a bit more that the competition.
