Great Alternative to iCOM genuine batteries
At the recommendation of a couple fellow HAMs that also have ID-52A handheld radios, I went ahead and ordered this off-brand high capacity battery. I've been using it for several months now. So far, charging on the radio via USB, or factory power dongle both work great. As well, I use an off-brand charging cradle, also works great. So far so good. Battery life under hard use is fantastic and standby time is really amazing. I have not collected specific time to depletion data. No issues, no magic smoke let out. The ID-52A appears to accept this battery and via the menu, when you install it, the UI on the radio will ask which model battery you have onboard. Simply select BP-307. saved me a lot of money over factory. No worries. - Bolt

Good value for ic705
Purchased as a spare for a icom ic705. Capacity seems to be right and fit was good.

Good Gosh, Great Value for the Money
The Icom ID-52a radio is sweet. There's no denying it. It's more than a bit overpriced, but OK. Fine. However, why on earth would the batteries be so silly expensive? This alternative is fantastic. It works great. It charges fine (on the 3rd party charger I use) and runs the radio really well. Battery life seems good (although, I'm going to do more extensive testing while I take the thing on the road for a few days). Overall, I'm downright excited about saving that much money.

Compatible with Icom HTs; ID-52A and fits nicely . The radio radio recognizes the battery and works in the OEM charger.

Seems to work well and far, far cheaper than the Icom Version
Although I have done no scientific study on the capacity, this battery seems to work well, and is far, far cheaper than Icom version. Even if it has less than the rated capacity, it gives me a 2nd battery that I can use while I charge the original. I'm happy and thus far, I would buy again.

Great relief of charge angst
Bought this as an upgrade for my icom ID51A handheld to give me more power for emergency use. This unit has more Ah than the OEM unit. It's thicker, as I expected, but has excellent fit and finish and hasn't impacted useability at all. I recommend.

Very nice! Like an OEM
Awesome battery, follow primary first time charging instructions first. Then run completely flat. Then charge completely full. This will excite battery life and extend capacity to maximum state. Do this before you start regular use and random charge or top offs.
