Desperate and Heartbroken Cat Parents, it's worth a shot!
My cat developed steroid-induced diabetes when we were trying to treat her IBD with pred (which was a last-ditch effort to get her chronic IBD under control). While the pred did wonders to clear up her IBD, it pushed her glucose numbers over the edge. We tried at first just tapering her off the pred, hoping that her glucose numbers would resolve once the pred was no longer present in her system; unfortunately, while the pred stabilized her IBD, her glucose did not recover in a timely manner, resulting in diabetes and neuropathy in her hind legs. I've been using Zobaline to help combat my cat's diabetic neuropathy for roughly 3 months. At her lowest, she was walking down on her hocks, would tire easily when walking (she'd take constant breaks just to walk across the house), stopped using the litter box, and couldn't make jumps as low as one foot. I read about Methyl-B12's proposed effects on reversing diabetic neuropathy and figured it couldn't hurt to try. I was desperate and heartbroken that my little girl was having such a tough time. During this time we were also working with the vet to get my cat's glucose under control (she was in the high 200s to mid 300s), including using Purina's DM Dietetic Management food and beginning insulin therapy at one unit twice a day along with a portion-controlled feeding schedule. I crush one tablet over her dry food in the mornings each day. She doesn't seem to notice or mind the taste. Over the last couple of months, she's started to walk on her toes again, and can make jumps around 3 feet (she still can't jump up to standard counter top height but now she at least tries to make those jumps). She's using her litter box, will RUN when it's time to eat or play, and no longer needs to stop and take constant breaks when walking. Her glucose is also under control, and she's no longer on insulin (she's still eating a portioned diet of the DM Dietetic Management food). I didn't see results overnight--in fact, after a month with very little improvement, I almost gave up. Then one day about a month ago, she was back on her toes, and has made steady improvement since. While I can't say for sure if the Zobaline is helping combat her neuropathy or if it's because we got her glucose under control quickly enough to put her diabetes into remission, I do know that so long as I continue to see improvements in my cat, I'll continue to crush a Zobaline over her food each morning. Update 7/2018: At the time of my review, my cat had regained the ability to jump on lower surfaces, but hadn’t regained the ability to jump on higher surfaces again. I’m happy to say that she’s back to full mobility again! After about 4 months on Zobaline, we found her on the bathroom counter, demanding water from the faucet....and she hadn’t let up since. This stuff truly works!

Helpful for Feline Diabetic Neuropathy
This is definitely helping my diabetic cat with his neuropathy. He was having trouble jumping and had a floppy walk and not using his paws. It has taken a few months to show improvement but he is finally able to jump up on his cat tower again. Highly recommend giving it a try as it worked for my diabetic kitty.

Seems to be working for our diabetic cat
We are optimistic that Iggy, our diabetic cat, who is a large yellow tabby with the sweetest disposition ever, that we rescued 6 years ago, and Iggy has been helped by this brand and of course, we are elated! We are so very grateful. My only complaint is that this is expensive. However we will continue to give Iggy one per day. He is walking better and the other day, he went up and down two flights of stairs (slowly but that's OK) in our house, on his own, without prompting. Iggy is less wobbly. He now seems more willing to play and be a somewhat more energetic kitty. He is also taking 3 doses of insulin 2x a day (recommended by our vet in NYC). We were upset when Iggy got his diagnosis of diabetes. We now think that he will be OK - we are diligent in administering the insulin every 12 hours and we only feed him then. We only let him eat canned food 2x a day. We pamper him - if he does not like the food, we will try to feed him something else - but all of it is grain-free (Iggy eats a variety of Fancy Feast pate). After the insulin and when he eats, we will give him some treats. We add warm water to all his food so that he gets enough water. We also add a Miralax-type product to his food so that he poops like he is supposed to. We also give him a ton of love. He is a family member. If your cat has diabetes, be diligent and follow what your vet says. It's all about controlling blood sugars. This supplement should be given daily. Do not worry if you do not notice a change right away. It could take a month. It could take two months. The point is that you should give it to your cat. Eventually, it should improve the mobility of your cat. It certainly did with Iggy and it took over two months. If your kitty gets better, make sure that you continue to give this to him or her. It is, in my opinion, close to something miraculous. Before we started giving Iggy this, he was walking like he went to a bar a had a few too many beers. He is much better now. Hooray! Thank you, LifeLink.

Effectiveness questionable for one kitty, seemed to work for another kitty
New Update (March 15 through December 31, 2024): If product is unavailable here at Amazon, it is available via Walmart online and Lifelink's website - talked directly to them today to find that out. My kitty has now been on Zobaline for 18 months and continues to do great (see Update #2 for what shape my kitty was in when starting the supplement). The first 6 months, he was on 1 tab, twice a day, where results seemed evident at the 5-month mark, and better each month. By month 6, he was normal, jumping, running, playing. At 7-8 months, I reduced the dose to just 1 tab per day (crushed and sprinkled in canned food), he continued to do just as well. Two more reductions since Mar '24: reduced the dose to 1/2 tab once a day to see if he maintains well (he did). Again, keep in mind, it is ideal when your kitty is truly insulin regulated before or during the use of Zobaline, this is one method of being able to determine to some degree, the effectiveness of Zobaline, particularly for neuropathy. It seems many vets are not confident a kitty with rear leg neuropathy could recover well, with or without Methylcobalamin (i.e., Zobaline), but if the kitty is well-regulated (near normal to normal blood glucose range with insulin management), the supplement may be quite beneficial. This coming from a skeptic, so I would advise to give it a try, it is safe to give twice a day initially and take it from there to see if neuropathy improves, and if so, slowly reduce to once a day. Be advised this can take a month, or it could take several months, it depends on the kitty and proper glucose/insulin management. Second reduction this year, and currently as of Dec '24: My kitty is now on 1/2 tab every other day and continues to do well, he is still running, jumping, playing and can still use his multi-tier kitty post. What I do not care for is the frequent changes in appearance of these tabs - originals were small white with brown flecks, then tan with brown flecks, now they are flat disc-shaped and reddish-pink in color and much harder to crush than previous batches - the price for shipping has now also increased. Consistency would be nice. Updated Review (2023): While Zobaline didn't work at all for my first kitty, it seems to be working for a second kitty, who was diagnosed with diabetes after being hospitalized for diabetic ketoacidosis. It took 5-6 months of twice-a-day Zobaline tabs, but after a few months, kitty started showing improvement in mobility and gait. At the 5-month mark, his gate was near perfect and at 6 months, he was completely mobile, running, jumping, and feeling great. Note that his glucose was already regulated before the 6-month mark being on Zobaline - so cat owners should be aware that it's very important to make sure your kitty's glucose is regulated, please work with your vets closely in case insulin doses need to be adjusted during glucose regulation and even beyond. Currently, kitty is getting 1 tab in the morning and 1/2 tab in the eve with food, hopefully will be weaning him to 1 tab daily in the near future. I do contend that for the small amount of B12 in these tiny tablets, the cost is outrageous (plus having to pay shipping as well) - but I will concede that it may work for many kitties, if given long-term if necessary, if glucose is regulated and managed well (and for some cats, 2 tabs twice a day until noticeable improvement). Prior review (in 2021): I can't speak for effectiveness as every cat is different, but Zobaline did nothing for my kitty, two months of these tiny supplements later, there was zero improvement. You're more likely to get effectiveness from injectable form of vit B12 from your vet, since oral supplements degrade (and dissolve and disappear in the stomach, not truly getting a chance to get into the bloodstream - the veterinary injectable form is given sub-cutaneously, so is absorbed far better than oral pills) - so talk to your vets about the best options for your kitty before purchasing anything. Gave 4 stars for availability of a convenient product easy to add into food, but doubtful of effectiveness - at least for my kitty.

My cat was about to be put down and this turned it all around!! Thank you
Ok I'll be quick as possible. My 11 year old Mancoon cat has always been full of energy and it slowly stopped. Thought it was wierd ok maybe he was sick so weeks went by and his walking started to change. I noticed his back legs were wobbling and he was having issues going up steps were he would stop half way. He was in obvious pain. Took him to the Vet said and he has diabetes and needs insulin. He also said his back legs have nerve damage and probably wont be able to walk normal again. He said this is most likely irreversible. Weeks passed and his walking got so bad I had to carry him up and down the stairs. My wife and I actually talked about putting him down because we didnt want him to suffer any more and with a 14mo child and another cat (brother of the sick cat) our hands were full. I said maybe there is something else. I researched alot and came across this. I figured it wouldn't hurt because it was try something asap or he is not gonna be around much longer. Btw I know all cats are different and may not work for some. Fast forward 4wks, I've been crushing up 1 pill in the cap of the bottle sprinkling on his wet food in the morning and mixing it together. Got rid of all dry food 4wks earlier also because dry is all carbs and carbs turn to sugar. His walking has improved so much that he no longer has issues RUNNING up the stairs.. yes running, jumping on the bed, couch, and his mood is amazing. Playing and wrestling with his brother again. It actually making us happy too! So nice to see our babies happy healthy and playing again. Fyi this new wet food diet has also helped them loose a few pounds and are no longer overweight like they were in this photo. Thank you so much!!!
