Was able to snag a sale on this pen and it is excellent quality for the price, even without the discount. It has heft, a nice snap of the cap and comes with 6 cartridges. It looks like a quality pen and writes very well. The box it comes in is a nice addition, but I think the pen speaks for itself.

This fountain pen writes very smooth ! The only problem I had was putting in the ink cartridge. It was very hard, and I was afraid that I would break it as it took a lot of pressure to break the seal on the ink cartridge. Overall, very nice fountain pen !

What an amazing pen!! Right out of the included leather box, I was impressed. The pen is all metal, but not heavy to hold. The grip on the pen is not slippery so it is easy to hold when writing. Then there is the nib . . . I inked the converter up with Hongdian Purple ink, one of my go-to brands. Then I gave it a go on standard notebook paper. "Smooth as butter" doesn't do justice as a description for this pen!! It is like writing on glass, no skips, grit or hesitation. Ink also flows easily to the tip, so no hard starts or blank letters. This pen was on sale when I bought it. Initially I hesitated, but now I am really glad I jumped and bought it. I am now looking to buy the red one next!!

Leaks quite a bit , dried very quickly.

I looked through a few different types of pens before picking this one. It is a little more expensive than the basic ones advertised here, but still considerably cheaper than some other ones. The color is nice and it is made out of solid metal, which is much nicer than the plastic options. The pen came in a nice case that looks like it’s made out of leather. It also came with instructions on how to pit the pen together and use the ink cartridges. It came with six cartridges, which I didn’t expect, but appreciated. A lot of other ones just come with the one. It also came with a converter that I can put in the pen if I want to dip the pen in ink instead of using a cartridge. I haven’t played around with using an inkwell yet, but the ink in the cartridges works well. When you’re putting together the pen, make sure to wait for a clicking/popping sound to make sure the ink cartridge is punctured within the pen or else the ink won’t come out. It takes a minute or two for the ink to get flowing. The pen hasn’t leaked since I got it and the ink flows nicely. I need to practice more before I can do anything too fancy with it, but it’s already working much nicer than a regular pen, and it looks classier too.

I am relatively new to fountain pens and thus have mostly bought inexpensive pens. At $18, this is on the cheaper end of the ones I've purchased. Let me just say, this is the best fountain pen I've used to date, hands-down. It comes with 6 ink cartridges and a converter; I opted to fill the converter with ink (Pelikan 4001 in blue black) to try it out. It has a nice weight without feeling heavy in the hand. The grip is smooth and comfortable for my grip style. I was most impressed by how quickly the ink flowed after filling the converter for the first time and how smoothly this pen writes. I have not experienced any skipping and it does not feel scratchy even on cheap copy paper. It has a decent feel un-posted but I prefer to post the cap and the cap posts securely, unlike many others that fly off in the course of writing. The leather gift box was a pleasant surprise; I expected it to be faux leather but it smells like actual leather. Overall, my new favorite pen. Highly recommend.

This is a nice pen and I have had no issues with it thus far. I am using the converter for the ink rather than the included ink cartridges. The pen comes in a very stylish leather case with instructions, converter, ink, cartridges, and a support card from the company Beiluner. It is actually refreshing to see that this Chinese pen company has a website and is a recognizable company.. S so many Chinese fountain pens have Unknown or dubious origins. This is not the case with this fountain pen..
