Incredible Customer Service!
First of all, like other reviewers have stated, Vastfire’s customer service is amazing! These people stay in constant touch until all problems are resolved. I’ve never seen anything like it, and I wish them great success in the future! While the light itself is well-built and powerful, the weak point is the remote switch. Vastfire sent me another switch/endcap, free of charge. While I can’t positively identify targets at 350 yards, I’d feel comfortable taking a 100-yard shot with this light. At $26, this light is a terrific bargain. I plan to buy another as a backup. Another great feature is the inclusion of a backup system using three AAA batteries in case something goes wrong with the rechargeable. I tested both systems, and they work perfectly. While placing my order, I confused this light with others on the page and assumed it came with a scope mount. It does not. It comes with a RAIL mount, which I didn’t need. I ended up buying a scope mount separately. I attached the remote switch to the rifle’s forearm with Velcro. While I’ve been trying to include an actual hunting video with my review, things have been going wrong. Either I can’t find any critters, or they run away while I’m fumbling with the video camera. One thing I've noticed is that cottontail rabbits won't hold still once this green light shines on them. They dash away immediately. And tonight I sneaked up to within 15 yards of a herd of about six wild hogs. I observed them through a Firefield NV monocular until I was close enough. Then when I lit them up with the Vastfire green light, they bolted in all directions. One of them nearly slammed into me! This reaction surprised me, as they were quite relaxed and busy rooting until I turned on that light. Now, I just placed an order for the Vastfire RED light. Even though I won't be able to see as far with red, all of my shots are generally under 25 yards, so I think red will be alright. All in all, I think these Vastfire lights are a good "bang for the buck." UPDATE EDIT 7/9/18: I'm so sorry to see that Vastfire no longer offers the Zoomable Red Varmint light. Now that I've had the chance to hunt with both the green and the red, the red is now my "go-to" hunting light. When the beam is narrowed down, it focuses rather brightly and my target is clearly visible at surprising ranges. I now wish I had two reds instead of a red and a green. I've shone the red light on numerous varieties of nocturnal animals over the last few months, and none of them have spooked. If Vastfire reintroduces the red zoomable shooting light, I'm going to buy another to keep as a backup. Perhaps they are simply retooling to improve the rather flimsy remote pressure switch. I hope that's the case, because I feel this light is too good to keep off the market for very long!

Great bang for your buck. Would recommend
Really good for price. Can see feeders and targets from about 150 yards clearly. Battery seems to keep charge well and can run off AA battery as well. Zooms in tight and the floodlight is very bright as well.

Good but not 350 yds good
I purchased three different green LED flashlights (Windfire, Vastfire and Ulako) to mount on AR sporting rifles for night hunting pigs. They all have their +/-'s. What I like about this light is that it provides a beam that can be focused. The green LED is invisible to pigs, raccoons, armadillos and deer. It truly is remarkable how the animals cannot see this light. I didn't bother to install or use the pressure switch so, I can't provide any comment on it. The tail switch makes a distinctive "click" when turning on and off. It wasn't a problem due to the distance I was from the hogs (85 yds) and the noise they make when feeding but a more stealthy or sensitive animal my alert to the sound. This light is advertised at being effective to 350 yds. I do not agree with that. Perhaps you can get eye reflections at 350 yds but that would be it. At 85 yds on a moonless night, a dark pig shows up as a faint silhouette. Just enough of a silhouette to place a shot behind the shoulder with a red dot scope. That was with the beam focused to the smallest size. Battery life was very good. The light mount is a bit goofy. I would prefer a mount that doesn't project quite so far away from the barrel but it's not a tactical light, it's a hunting light. If you want an inexpensive light for night hunting pigs and coyotes, this is a good deal and I don't have a problem saying that.

The Great green hunting light
Has me at a WOW! This was a Great purchase. Is the perfect green flashlight for hunting! Very bright green light. Distance was not an issue for this light! Lit up all the way across the field with ease. Such a great light my brother had to get himself one too.

Great Basic Light
I have a couple of variants of this light already, so I have something to base my opinions on, and I had no lofty expectations. I bought it for the price and because you can use AAA batteries instead of the rechargeable battery if you wish. The light works great, and lights up areas close in very well. Aligned with a scope, you can even use the tightest setting for this light, and see things clearly out to 75 or a hundred yards. You can see things at farther distances, but you can't really identify things. The accessories are pretty irrelevant to me, because I don't like or trust rechargeable things or remote pressure type switches with wires hanging under my rifle. As soon as I received the light, I loaded the included battery adapter (Three AAA batteries). I used the mount (It is actually a single scope ring, which works fine for this purpose) and I threw away the pressure switch, battery charger, and rechargeable battery. I like the little plastic box, and I re-purposed it quickly to hold a couple of boxes of 204 and some extra batteries in the glove box of my truck. I mounted the light from the bottom of the quad gas block rail on my 204 Ruger AR. The mount is long enough that the rear of the light clears the handguard, and my support hand thumb simply slides forward and punches the rear on/off switch of the light. I mainly needed a light on my rifle for early morning or late evenings looking for cows hiding their calves, or when the dogs run something into deep brush. This works for me so far, so I'm giving it five stars.

Bright and works great.
Bought these to help with hog issue's. The reason I gave 3 stars is due to the fact it started coming apart. There is a threaded piece that holds the glass in and it has came loose while attached to my rifle. Since my review the company has reached out and is sending me a new light. I’d also like to add I’ve bought 2 of these lights and the brightness and clarity of the light is good.
