Got it on sale. Definitely worth it at discounted price we got it for. Would consider it at full price too. The pieces look and feel good and the kit is as described. I don't know what starting weight it's quadrupling, but it's heavy enough that it won't scatter easily when bumped, and light enough that it's not difficult for my kid to use too. I heard that having a bigger board & larger pieces is apparently better for seeing strategies/planning; we're excited to test this out.

Conforme a la description. J'ai pris la version travel de 38cm pour une question de place. 2 petits regrets : Pas de deuxième dame , pas d'impression double face (vert/noir) sur échiquier. Bon rapport qualité / prix.

Decent quality set - I don’t mind that it is plastic and that was a concern I had. The pieces in the 4x weighted are massive, which is something I didn’t realise when I bought the set. I’d actually prefer them to be smaller and the same weight but that’s probably my fault for not checking. I will still play with them. Silicon mat is decent, seems very durable and malleable. The bag just about fits the pieces in. You need the box to carry them around anyway because they are so huge. It’s a heavy bit of kit so definitely don’t buy this if you plan to be on the go with it a lot.
