Perfect trail companion, keeps everything bone-dry
Pelican’s reputation for high quality gear is why I grabbed this wallet for summer hikes, and it lives up to the name. The hard-shell case snaps shut with authority and seals tight, so sweat and rain stay outside where they belong. I no longer worry about my leather bifold turning into a soggy mess or cash sticking together by the end of a long trek. Inside, the dividers hold a few cards, folded bills, and my park pass without rattling around, and the RFID shielding is a nice bonus. It slips easily into a cargo pocket and weighs next to nothing, yet it feels tough enough to survive a tumble down the trail. If you need a wallet that shrugs off moisture and abuse, this Pelican is worth every penny.

Solid wallet
Love this thing. It’s solid, but surprisingly light weight. It snaps secure, and my cards don’t fall out. It’s fits into an edc pouch I carry with a pen and flashlight etc, great edc.

This will last a lifetime
Great new wallet. Kinda nice to keep it waterproof inside while not worrying about anyone taking the RFID information. Looks strong because it is tough. Thickness in about the thickness of a regular leather wallet. Easy to use, just pop the sturdy latch open put in some bills folded into 1/3rds and maybe 6 cards. A little expensive but a good value when thinking about having to turn off cards from someone stealing your information

Good but the gasket won't stay in place.
The wallet feels great in terms of weight, durability, protection, etc., but the rubber gasket won't stay in place. Every time I open it, the rubber piece falls out. I can't tell if it's staying while closed, but that's a problem if not. Otherwise, it's great. I got it for when I go camping so the intention is to put it in a bag. To me, it's a bit too big for any pocket, comfort wise, though it'll likely fit. I do think it's worth the money though and does what it's supposed to as best I can tell.

The suction locks the wallet from opening from time to time
It’s a good wallet and I love it! Super strong design. Two card slots you can also keep a little cash in there if you like. It’s heavier that a regular wallet so not the easiest. Also I do not snap it closed as the suction keeps it together and it’s scary when you have to buy something and your wallet doesn’t open. It only happened a few times.

Durable, long lasting protection for your cards.
I purchased the silver one to replace one of those $11.99 cases with the expanding card holders inside. For those put off by the Pelican Wallet's price tag, I'll say the lesson finally took in my case; buy once, cry once. Brand "A" has a scary price tag, but it will last for over ten years. Brand "generic" costs 3-4 times less - but it breaks in six months, so you have to buy another one, which falls apart after a year, so you buy another, which dies in eight months... and so on. After ten years, which brand was the real bargain? The shell is thick aluminum, very strong, which makes it heavy. This might detract from its utility for some. For me, this kind of bank vault durability is reassuring. The closure is strong and stiff. Those who are not blessed with strong hands may have a problem opening it, but this also means it won't pop open under rough handling. It also appears to seal up well, with no gaps. It's supposed to stand up to being submerged in six feet of water for up to half an hour; I don't intend to test it, but it looks as if it would pass easily. it comes with a wrist strap attached. I've no use for a wrist strap, but it does provide a convenient way to attach it to your belt or bag with a carabiner or other clip. There's also a 'cash band' on the outside of the case, which will be a convenient place to put a card momentarily to free up one's hands during a transaction, but i wouldn't store anything important that way. Too easy to knock it loose. The interior has a card pocket in one side of the shell that will hold five, maybe six cards, which is enough for me. The other side is open and has a mesh keeper at one end, good for such things as bank notes, a spare house key, and items like physical security keys or (thin) USB drives. These and the lining, as well as the 'cash band' on the outside, appear to be made of a silicone compound that has some elasticity. My only concern about the wallet is the potential longevity of this material, but given the attention Pelican paid to all of the other details, it is not a major concern. All in all, this wallet is an excellent solution which should last for many years.

I previously owned one of Pelican's plastic wallets, but it didn't work very well due to awkward internal pockets. This new one is surprisingly handy to have when travelling for work, because it can store receipts or other small papers and keep them dry and protected until the end of the day. Carrying cash isn't really necessary nowadays, so it's great to have for keeping bank cards or id cards safe from the elements. It's also easy to hold when taking cards out, with it's rigid form.

Quite heavy and strong with amazing finishing, but the storage space ought to be a bit bigger .

Compact, solid. I expect it to last til probably the end of my days. Worry not of rain, sunshine and unauthorised card scans. Can hold up to a few cards, I store around 6-8 cards inside. I choose to store my cash inside this wallet than use the cash strap available. Maybe can store some coins but be prepared for the coins to fly out when you open the wallet. (Not recommended to store coins) I believe it is recommended to grease the O-ring as a form of maintenance. *Not recommended for people who likes to hold thick stack of cash, you might want to carry a briefcase for that.
