Traxxas 2-Amp AC Peak-Detecting 5-7 Cell NiMH Battery Fast Charger Vehicle

I don’t know why Traxxas does this other than to upset their customers enough to buy more products from them… but regardless of the reason, this charger is a must have for 1/16 E-Revo owners! For some odd reason the truck comes with a cigarette-lighter style charger which means you have to charge the batteries in your full-scale vehicle ;-) or rig something to enjoy your new truck. I immediately ordered this from Amazon and have used it ever since! It plugs into the wall and charges the battery fast. Simple. It works the same as the one the truck came with: plug in the charger, wait for light, plug in battery, wait for solid green. I believe Traxxas should ship the truck with this charger and sell a cigarette-lighter style for those on the road but I guess they would sell practically none if the did.

Worked perfect. Plugged into the wall, then the battery and away it went. I see bad reviews and the people have some oddball battery that isn’t even a traxxas style plug Also a side note this is actually better than the other version traxxas charger thats just a square box and you need to provide a cable. The other version charger there’s a special sequence how to plug it in. Just be plugged into the wall first, then the box, then battery. It’s very anoyying because it still often glitches out throwing an error light. This is a better version that’s all in 1

Works exactly as it should although it charges some what slow it still gets the job done

I’m writing this to save others a lot of trouble! The bad reviews on this battery charger are not really true. The charger will SEEM like it doesn’t work, trust me, I thought the same thing! I even had 2 batteries to try in it and all I would get was a red light or it changed to blinking red. After contacting Traxxas, the tech told me my batteries had been dead too long and now had to be charged slowly and then they would work on the fast charger. I thought he was full of crap but he was right! I bought a second charger, from Traxxas, Model: SW-096050, Input: 100-240v AC, Output: 9.6V DC 500mA, that charges them slowly and used it first on both batteries and now this fast charger works great when they go dead from playing with the trucks. Wow! All this could have been simplified by Traxxas including a freaking wall charger with their $$$ RC vehicles!!!

Worked properly and fine the first 2x then after It just wouldn't charge.

I liked the price of the item. Came the day after I ordered it. It worked as it should have. Overall all I'm satisfied with the item.

My kids car only came with a cigarette car charger style. Problem my car would turn off before it was done charging and who wants to run their vehicle to charge a toy cars battery. Not us. This worked like a charm and now he can use his traxx car again!
