Does the job!
I ordered but when it arrived Prime Video wouldn’t load. Contacted Amazon who arranged a replacement so I returned next day. Everything on the replacement works well.Good firestick and you wouldn’t know it was refurbished apart from arriving in a plain box. A bit of a saving but frustrating the original one didn’t work properly and then having to return it and wait for replacement.

Fire stick saved me money
I have a 47 inch TV which I bought around 10 years ago. Top of the range SMART TV at the time but now showing it’s age. When I say showing, it actually still looks great but the Apps are outdated and now starting to fail. I was considering a new TV, but I’m sure like many others, I hate replacing things that I’m the main, work fine. Enter the Amazon Fire Stick. Having not experienced a fire stick, I was unsure if it would do what I needed. I purchased a refurb and it came fully packaged and on face value, would never have known it was a refurb. I plugged it in as instructed using the power adapter, to the mains. Aparantly the TV USB don’t provide adequate power and should be avoided. The instructions come up on the screen and are simple to follow.A few minutes later and bam I now have a fully functioning SMART TV with every App I need and works beautifully. In fact the TV is now better than the original in that I have been given more choice of Apps. I now have Disney+ which I didn’t have before and Amazon Prime now works again and Netflix has updated to the latest software. There are all your freebies Chanel’s and a quick search via the voice controlled remote brings up what you’re looking for and the App/Apps that support it. I can see the TV is now going to last for a good few more years and has saved me the cost of buying a new one. Highly recommended. Give me a thumbs up if this helps.

Don't bother with a new one!
If you're about to buy a Fire Stick and you're debating if you should go new or refurbished, just go with the refurb. The only discernable difference between a new model and my refurb is the packaging it came in (a generic brown Amazon box) - everything else looks brand new.Compared to the other streaming sticks on the market, the 4K Max seems to be the most up-to-date and future proof. WiFi 6 support is a nice addition if, like me, you have a newer router. This is also one of the only streaming sticks that supports the BBC UHD trial on iPlayer, just make sure you turn on the Beta in the iPlayer settings. There's not a huge amount of content on there currently, but it was great for the World Cup.My only complaint is the interface heavily favours Prime Video and the ads take up a lot of the home screen. However, as soon as you open an app and dive into your content, this complaint fades into insignificance.I bought to replace a Chromecast Ultra, which in turn replaced my power hungry Xbox as my media streaming device. I really missed having a physical controller, and wanted something that would see me on for a good while. Grabbing the Fire Stick 4K Max seemed like a no-brainer for these reasons, and it's been spot on so far!

Amazon Prime is king
I bought this refurbished device as I wanted to latest features but did not want to pay the price being asked.I’ve been a prime member for some time and also have subscriptions for the Mousehouse, the ‘tube and Spotty music.Simply put, this device is absolutely fantastic. I can use Alexa across my subscriptions or just talk to get what I want. The speed is the biggest ‘wow’ for me as I expected the enhanced functionality. The quality was the greatest bonus. Some programs are in such hi res and look amazing. In truth, this really only applies to anything with David Attenborough but other hi res content is coming. A lot of other content is scaled up and looks a bit ‘uncanny valley’In short. I’ve got the best device for the best subscription (Prime) at the best price - but like a cheat code really. Go refurb - it’s top grade hardware, comes with a guarantee and costs less.

Pretty good.
Works like it should apart from being compatible with my ancient telly.Bought this for our old telly for the bedroom. I don't have an aerial in there so wanted something to connect to the Internet. We mainly watch Amazon Prime and Netflix so all's good. Also downloaded a few apps to watch Polish TV etc. I'd recommend it, but might not be compatible to older TVs. (i.e. doesn't control volume or switching TV on/off).

Great experience
I have been with sky over 25 years and thought I was paying a fortune for hundreds of channels of rubbish as there was nothing new on or anything that interested me. A friend recommended I look at a Fire stick and I’m so pleased I did. More choice of programs. There is a lot of rubbish but you have to look for what you want but it’s there, you just got to find it. What is best for me and it’s a huge plus, there are no or very few adverts. Just depends on what channel you’re watching but majority have no rubbish adverts. This is worth every penny
