Android Tv Box WeChip Amlogic s912 Octa core with 4K 1080P Support Bluetooth Dual Band Wifi 2.4g & 5g (V7 (3GB+32GB))

I really like what's on the circuit board. But after running it for approximately 45 minutes it was overheating and glitching out. When dealing with electronics it's important that they can breath and there are no breathing holes except at the very underside of the box but hot air rises and so they get overheated way too fast and that destroys components. The only way to keep it cool enough for it not to overheat is to take the cover off it but no one is going to do this for the most part. It is a real shame that no one thought this thing should be allowed to breath and cool down. I really like the internals and software they have on here but the overheating is a very serious problem. I don't understand how this got past quality control? This is a paramount issue! Also I had to install cpu monitoring app to see that it was overheating. This case needs a cooling fan at best and some breather holes at the least but some cool air blowing on the CPU along with some breather holes would solve every issue I am seeing so far. I had high hopes for this box. This is a serious known problem with these boxes I noticed on YouTube videos people are modifying boxes with breathing holes and small fans to cool the CPU. They have even went so far as to put on better heat sinks for the CPU as well. That has solved all the issues. Not everyone wants to buy a project though. I prefer it worked right out of the box.

Nice Android TV box, with ample memory and updated operating system. Note that it registers as a regular Android device and not an Android TV box - so you won't get access to the "Leanback" apps intended for devices like the Nvidia Shield. This means these apps won't have the fully optimized interface for Android TV, and some apps (like Netflix) won't give you surround sound (I also have continuing problems getting any audio for the HBO Go app and haven't been able to figure out a solution).I was able to root it with the Magisk rooting technique, but it wouldn't boot after trying to root it with SuperSU. Customer support was super-helpful.

I initially wrote a 2 star review but I am retracting it. The merchant had problems contacting me @ that time to resolve issues with the device language & problems turning the unit on. The merchant is outstanding, they messaged me repeatedly trying to resolve the problem , but I wasn’t checking my messages; yet they continued trying to help. They fully fixed all my issues to my 100% satisfaction. I’m impressed with their diligence. The product I received works great, sound is very good, picture on my 4K tv is outstanding, I even got to watch a 3D movie which was great. It has Kodi & a large selection of popular apps. The lifetime warranty I have is great, you can’t lose. I couldn’t be more pleased & I highly recommend this device.

I had this little android box for about 6 months and use it for both kodi and non kodi apps. This is my second, the first one was a little buggy from the get go and I should have actually contacted the seller as it turns out the second one works much better. When it failed and I contacted them, they responded within a day and tried to resolve the issue with me but it that did not work and they shipped a replacement no cost it works great now. Their customer service was very good and they checked in on me until I received the new one. Its fast and works well in 4k on my vizio 4k tv. The wireless works well on 5 gig or 2.4 gig I have not tried the cat connection since there is no need. It seems to handle high end Kodi builds well and of course runs the you tube, Netflix stuff just fine. It has 2 usb ports which is nice, I use a BT keyboard and a wireless mouse in addition to the BT remote which it comes with. In short I would buy another device from Wechip if I need it.

Aside from the nice long horizontal LED, this TV box is no better or worse than dozens of other S912 Android TV boxes I've tested over the past 4 years. I see no improvement in streaming TV shows with the WeChip V7's 3Gb & 32GB versus boxes that have only 2GB of RAM and 16GB memory.Streams Terrarium, Morpheus, K17.6 TV shows without any buffering issues. Note: I have 60Mbps Cox internet and use Ethernet but 5G WiFi works almost as well.Unfortunately, the video began to freeze and then the box would not respond to any remote control commands so the WeChp V7 TV Box is being returned. For the record, fastest TV Box I've tested is the Zidoo H6 and box that delivers brightest & sharpest image on an HDTV is the COOLEME MB2.

Tiny box with incredible power and no heating! Watching 4K videos without any issue. Two USB ports, optical audio, ethernet... 32 GB of storage and 3 GB of memory with S912 CPU, one of the best specs right now with Android 7.1.1

I've had minor technical problem and customer service was 1st rate making sure as a customer I was happy. Buy with the confidence that seller stands behind warranty and customer satisfaction. Video and audio quality is very good and streaming is fast, as the specs would suggest.

When it works its great however, mine will intermittently lock up and nothing works. I unplug it and sometimes when I plug it back in it will come right on and stream but, other times it takes several cycles of unplugging and waiting for it to even reboot. Now it sits unused replaced by a Fire TV Stick. Would not recommend.
