Not a great finish. Paints chips
Absolutely love wooden toys, had a few toys from the orange tree toy brand and this is probably the worse one of all, felt quite disappointed in it. Comes well presented in a cardboard box. Inside you get the the wooden cube shape sorter and 6 chunky wooden shapes. The cube has cut out shapes around the 2 sides and also on the removable lid. At a glance it looks really nice, brightly coloured with the lion King characters painted on. On closer inspection the shapes had chips of paint before it was even played with and the cube looks poorly put together. Where each side joins each other, it's not neat at all; paint chips and rough edging. The bottom panel feels quite a thin piece of wood and it moves around. The top panel slides out to be able to empty out the shapes inside. The little shapes fit well through their designates holes, not being a tight fit at all. A good size for small hands to grab, hold and grasp. Ideal to help children develop fine motor skills, hand eye coordination and problem solving. Ideal for both boys and girls. I really wanted to love this, but with its poor quality/finish it just let it down. To me it definitely doesn't meet up to its premium price tag.
