BESTSUN Ultra Bright Flashlights Upgrade LED Bulb Single Mode 1200 Lumens P60 LED Drop-in Module Flashlight Replacement Bulbs for C2 G2 Z2 6P 9P G3 S3

In the process of upgrading all my weapon lights. I have a 1187 with the Surfire 620T forend from the 1990s with the P60 incandescent bulb cranking out a whopping 80 Lumens or so. Definitely needed an upgrade! Couldn't really find what I needed on Malkoff's website and would rather not spend the $175 for the Surfire replacement lamp right now. For $15, I figured this was worth a shot. While the new unit doesn't fit exactly like the P60 unit does, it does fit and throws out a very acceptable bright beam with a nice hot spot and plenty of flood (especially for $15). Doesn't seem as bright as my Streamlight 1000 Lumen lights, but certainly brighter than my 600 Lumen units and light years beyond the P60. Now the only question is how it will hold up to the battering of the 12 GA? I give it 5 stars with the following caveats: 1) It cost like $15. I don't expect $15 of Chinesium LED technology to surpass a $100+ Streamlight (even though it is also made in China), and 2) It will hold up to the recoil and not drain my batteries while sitting in the safe. If the lens fails on me, I will re-evaluate my rating.

Have purchased enough of these P60-style LED modules over the years, and these Bestsun Cree XM-L2s are prolly the best so far. Formerly these replacement LED modules required some fiddling, turning the reflector in/out of LED body to achieve a solid fit. Other than removing large spring, this module fits my Surefire 6Ps and G2Z Nitrolon Combat lights (circa 2007) no fiddling, no problems. Color temp is fairly neutral, and the XM-L2 is bright, with generous spillover from its polished reflector. The photo depicts a couple older LED modules failing due to age, and an OEM P60 module for comparison, with new batteries in all four lights. Can't speak to the advertised 1200 lumens, but the module is bright, and compared to other lights I have, estimate lumen output between 600-1000 lm. Also, cannot speak to run-time efficiency, as am switching to 16650s from CR123s. Because these modules are a surefit for my Surefires, ordered modules for the other three lights. UPDATE: So, these Bestsun XM-L2 mods are power hogs with CR123s. Am achieving runtimes only slightly better than OEM P60 Xenon lamps. They are bright, but not the 1200 lm as advertised. With a single 16650 (3.7V) there is a decrement in luminosity compared to series 123s (6V), to about an estimated 600 lm, however, runtimes with 16650s are vastly improved. Where P60 Xenon runtimes could be measured in minutes, this Cree/16650 2000mAh combo lasted all weekend. Could not imagine this kind of performance when I bought these Surefires 15 years ago.

Bright as hell!!! Great price, good quality, replacement bulb. Only one issue... This is taller than the original, my fl will not screw in all the way

This probably goes for all similar drop ins but to make it work for a Surefire M951, I removed the black plastic collar in the head/body adapter of the light, removed the outer spring of the drop in, and gently pressed the bulb into the head adapter with a vise. I think you’re supposed to remove material from the drop in for it to fit in the head/body adapter but mine pressed in relatively easy and works great. I didn’t feel like doing 30 min of dremel/sanding work to get it to fit. The led is bright with high lumens but not very much candela, think Streamlight HL-X with a little less candela. Obviously not as warm as the factory incandescent p60 but not blue tinted either so that’s nice. Great purchase especially for 1/4 the cost of a malkoff. I think I paid like $12.

Not even close to a P60 replacement regardless of removing the outer spring. I'm not even sure you could grind away enough material to make it fit. Buyer beware! I have an OG Military Scout with a P60 bulb and it does NOT fit. Not even close....

The incandescent lamp module in my older Surefire Mossberg forend light was pathetic . Yellow dim light, and the original 6p lamp modules are notorious for breaking easily. This LED replacement dropped right in with no modifications necessary, and the immediate difference was amazing. Bright white light and far more durable I'm sure. I will be buying more for my older Surefire lights. This is a no brainer for the cost.

I've had my 9P for over 25 years and it has seen much use and abuse but being a SureFire, it never skipped a beat no matter what was thrown at it. 2 years ago the last lamp I had gave out and I decided to retire it but kept it for sentimental reasons. By chance I came across the BESTSUN XM-L2 LED assembly at thought I'd give it a shot. It is worth every cent of its price and the 9P is back in action again! Being an LED, I think battery life may be extended when compared to the original SureFire lamp but it's too early to say. I read some SureFire owners repoer the lamp doesn't fit properly or you cannot screw the bezel fully with the BESTSUN. I experienced this too but realised I had to remove the outer spring and it fit perfectly. There is a note on the page in one of the pics that says to remove this outer spring but I didn't see it till after, so SureFire owners, hope this info helps.

Works very well and produces a very bright smooth beam that is a bit tighter focused than a factory Surefire bulb. I had to remove the big spring for it to fit my Surefire 6P and G2 but aside from this the product works as advetised. Great value for the money.

After removing the big spring (it wiggles off) the module just dropped into my 6P and worked a treat. I needed the led unit because I was moving over to rechargeable batteries and apparently the voltage is too high for the incandescent bulb. Lovely super bright light and a rejuvenation for the old classic.

Purchased as Replacement for Original bulb in my surefire 6p, Did a little checking, & decided to risk rechargeable Batteries, Not only does it work, But the light output is Fantastically Bright, It may reduce Lifetime of bulb, But already Well worth it, With Performance, and saving on lithium Batteries.
