Perfect dog walking trousers on these cold wet days!
These trousers are great value for money and a perfect fit, very comfortable and warm and so far waterproof!Four zip pockets and a soft shell finish they appear to be very durable.I’d definitely recommend these for anyone looking for a pair of trekking trousers.

A really good fit, good looking, and keeps his legs warm when walking in this weather.
Walking in rain and windy chilly conditions, my husband has finally found a pair of great quality, waterproof trousers, which are not bulky, not too baggy and really, really warm. These are advertised as Ski Pants, but don't be put off by that. They are great thermal, waterproof trousers which are true fit to size, with the added bonus of being able to niche them in a bit with the velcro tabs. He's not of the elasticated waist age.. yet... so these are a perfect choice. Charcoal is a nice colour. I'm just about to order a second pair.

Good, well made, but long and can feel clammy
I am modifying my original review after wearing the trousers 4 or 5 times. I'm a short stocky man and ordered 2 pairs of 36"waist, 30" inside leg which is closest to my normal 29" leg size. I found the legs to be very long and had 1.5" professionally removed from each pair. 2" might have been even better. The trousers are thick fabric, excellent quality and really well made and would cost a lot more money from a famous name manufacturer. They are immediately comfortable, warm, windproof and water resistant, however the only downside is that they are not very breathable at all and can quickly become and stay clammy inside if you work up a sweat, hiking up a mountain for example (which I did in snowy conditions). I have found that clamminess can be an issue with soft shell fabric in general, particularly when it features a waterproof membrane.I recently wore them for an overnight mountain wild camping trip in around -7C to -9C conditions (where I also wore down trousers on top when stationary) and have now worn them several times cycling and dog walking in cold and damp UK weather around 0 to 6C.After any high intensity excercise theyget clammy inside and stay clammy inside for a long time. The problem with this is, once you cool down, as water conducts heat up to 50x faster than dry air/ dry fabric, your legs can start to feel slightly chilly and uncomfortable, as the inside pile lining of the trousers doesn't appear to wick away the dampness very well. This is ok after a round of golf, short walk, short bike ride etc, when you can go inside, change and get warm and dry again, but was uncomfortable on my overnight wild camp where I was spending a long time outside. On this basis, I would not recommend these for long day hikes and in particular not for multi-day trips in the wilds, where the retained internal dampness could start to continually chill you and potentially become a significant issue.I still do recommended these if you are prepared to get them shortened, and acknowledge the functional limitations, but in my opinion they are best reserved for below 10 degrees C, relatively low intensity and/or relatively short duration outdoor activities, where you can come inside and change out of them afterwards.

Very useful trousers
These do come up a bit large but that may be to accommodate long johns or other layers. I've bought this brand before and the softshell jacket in the same material is warm and very waterproof with some stretch. I did buy a outdoor webbing style belt to go with these as I say, quite generous on the waist. These are microfleece inside and for a winter trouser, what's not to like!

Great trousers for winter golf
Bought as I've found that most 'winter' trousers don't really keep you warm under adverse winter conditions on the golf course. These trousers are warm, waterproof and windproof, and they're a very comfortable fit. You can even wear a pair of golf waterproofs on top if you need extra protection. I've even worn them whilst out shopping and walking this winter. Highly recommended.
