Armentrout pulls us into this fabulous world once again!
I want to thank William Morrow and Edelweiss for providing me with an early copy of this book to read and give an honest review. Receiving this book for free has in no way influenced or altered my opinion or review.Blurb from Goodreads:Teresa Hamilton is having a rough year—she’s in love with her big brother’s best friend, but he hasn’t spoken to her since they shared a truly amazing, mind-blowing, change-your-life kiss. She got out of a terrible relationship. And now an injury is threatening to end her dance career for good. It’s time for Plan B – college. And maybe a chance to convince Jase that what they have together is real.Jase Winstead has a huge secret that he’s not telling anyone. Especially not his best friend’s incredibly beautiful sister. Even though he and Teresa shared the hottest kiss of his life, he knows that his responsibilities must take priority. He certainly doesn’t have time for a relationship. But it doesn’t help that all he can think about kissing the one girl who could ruin everything for him.As they’re thrown together more and more, Jase and Tess can’t keep denying their feelings for each other. But a familiar danger looms and tragedy strikes. As the campus recovers, the star-crossed couple must decide what they’re willing to risk to be together, and what they’re willing to lose if they’re not…I can't say how excited I was to get a review copy of this book. I received a copy of Wait for You last year at BEA and jumped right in as soon as I got home! I loved it. And then I read Trust in Me as soon as it came out! So to be able to read and review this book was really exciting. And knowing that it is Jase and Theresa's story, well, yeah, I had to read it.As with the other two books, this cover is so great! I love it's simplicity. It draws you right in and makes you want to know the relationship between these two!So we got a glimpse of both Theresa (Tess) and Jase in Wait For You. We found out a bit about Tess' past, about how she had a boyfriend who was abusive. It was important to that story because of how it affected her brother, Cam. But all we really get about Jase is that he's a good friend of Cam's. And that he and Theresa have something between them, though we are not sure what. In Be With Me, we find out they shared a kiss. But it never went farther than that and they haven't spoken since.Be With Me begins in the fall of the following Cam's story. Tess is now attending college with her brother. But for Tess, she's just using school until her knee can heal from it's injury and she can get back to her real passion, dancing. Tess is so head strong. She sticks mostly to herself and doesn't have many friends. She doesn't want to open up to anyone, it seems. But Tess is not afraid to speak her mind and tell people how it is. If she sees a situation that needs tending to, she jumps right in and does what needs to be done. One thing about Tess, she really wears her heart on her sleeve, even when she thinks she does not. Her emotions are so clear for everyone to see. I had a hard time watching her suffer through this book. Wanting her to be happier than she was. Wanting for her to be with the one she wanted to be with the one she loves.Jase, oh Jase, wow! I thought I could not like a male character more than Cam. Especially after reading Trust in Me. But I was wrong! He seems so carefree. He seems like his life is in order. He has a mom, a dad, a little brother. But things are not all that they seem and Jase hides secrets of this own. A secret that I figured out a bit early on, but did not ruin the story for me. One thing about Jase is once he sets his mind to something, he does it. And he doesn't want things to get in his way. But he's not so good at letting his emotions just be, or at least letting them go where they need to go and following them. He's scared to lose things he's lost in the past. So he has a hard time opening up and letting people in. He puts up the tough exterior when on the inside he really is this soft sweet heart who has had his heart torn into pieces by a tragic past. My heart really did bleed for Jase through much of this story. I was routing for him to be able to realize that loving didn't always mean getting hurt. But his ability to run from situations where he might become emotionally attached was so strong I sometimes wanted to bump him upside his head!I really liked how this story progressed. Just when you thought things were going to make it to happily ever after, boom, Jennifer throws a wrench in the story. As I was reading, I knew I was only 1/2 way through and could not imagine what she would do to keep me interested in the story. But she put in twists and turns that made the story interesting and kept the pacing going. There's romance, drama, mystery, suspense and even a little betrayal.Jennifer has made me a fan of contemporary writing. I can honestly say that I really have not loved it in the past. But she is able to make the story interesting and sustain the plot so that things do not head in the direction you think they might go. I love that she can throw in turns that keep you thinking perhaps the end you want to happen just might not be what does happen. I also love how Armentrout is tying this series together with her characters. It reminds me very much of McGarry's Pushing the Limits series, which I absolutely adore.Bravo to Jennifer for writing yet another story that I completely enjoyed from beginning to end! I can't wait to see what happens in the next book! Armentrout fans will devour this one as they have all her others. Lover's of authors such as McGarry and Cormack are going to really fall for this series

Realistic romance that is equal party sweet, fun, tender, and swoony
I am a relative newcomer to Team JLA/J. Lynn. If there is one author whose books are recommended to me more than any other, it's Jennifer, but for the longest time, I didn't heed the suggestions by so many of you die-hard JLA fans. The first novel I ever read of hers was Frigid, in October, at the recommendation of a couple trusted author friends. I am so glad I finally listened to them. With each book, I fall farther into the trap she has created with relatable characters, realistic plots, and swoony romance.Be With Me picks up a short while after Wait For You. Teresa, Cam's little sister, is at school with the group after her surgery, but she's not happy about it. She's also unsettled being close to Jase, with whom she shared a pretty steamy kiss (okay, I'm gonna be honest here. I really wanted a flashback of that dang kiss. Unfortunately, it never materialized, and I was a little disappointed about that) a couple years earlier. Teresa is a firecracker. She has all the grit and determination that any Hamilton would have (seriously, she and Cam are so similar, and I loved it!), but she's also a teenage girl with a big crush on her big brother's smexy best friend who has beens sending out some wildly opposing signals. There are times when Teresa is fiery and brazen and others when she's unsure and reserved. It's so cool to see a female character so perfectly embody these emotions without seeming fake or forced. Not only that, but to see her visibly push aside her fears and go for what she wants was absolutely delightful. Four candy canes cupcakes for you, Glen Coco Teresa. You go, Glen Coco girl! And then there's Jase. Mmm. A fine male speciman if ever there was one. I found myself wishing multiple times that there was some Jase pov just so I could get in his head a little bit, but dang. If that happened, we might have missed out on Teresa's descriptions of his delicious manly bod, and that would be tragic. Let's go down the list, shall we? 1. Jase is absurdly sexy. Avery mentions in Wait For You that Cam is a sexual guy. That is true, and I love me some Cam. But Jase...well, he cranks it up to eleven. The boy is fine. 2. He has some serious baggage which leads to serious committment issues. I want to reach into the pages to save him from himself. 3. Cute boy being adorable with a child alert. As much as I love Teresa with Jase, my favorite relationship in Be With Me might be Jase and Jack. Because REASONS. 4. Cute boy being adorable with horses alert. 5. Jase is under no sparkle effect that makes him think he's perfect. He knows when he's made a mistake. He also does his best to make up for those mistakes. Honestly, he's a bit of a masochist because he punishes himself for his mistakes past the point of making sense, which is heartbreaking, but I really like that he isn't just a stupid guy. He's very perceptive. 6. He's got a hero complex. Little bit. 7. He's sexy. I'm sorry. Needed to be said again. In case you forgot. The greatest thing about Jennifer's romances is that here she creates these amazing characters, but she doesn't just let them exist in a plotless porno. There's actual substance here. If you've read Wait For You, you know very well what Teresa's baggage is, at least. She's still reeling from her former abusive boyfriend and the major guilt she feels from Cam's legal troubles when he beat up said former bf. The absolute most delightful surprise, though, is that Jase's baggage is pretty evident early on, and I expected Jennifer to let it stew similar to Avery's. I thought it would drag out for a while. I was pleasantly surprised when it comes out early. Loved that. Much of the conflict is of the internal relationship sort, just between Tess and Jase, as they attempt to be together, but there was an external plot that was handled sensitively if not exactly subtly enough for my absolute liking. But again, the focus is on the relationship, not so much on the outside world, and I'm okay with that.Be With Me is just a really entertaining book. It's solid all the way around. It was a fast read in the good way that you should read a book fast if you're into it. It's filled with beautiful scenes ranging from the silly to the witty, from the tender to the steamy (Seriously. Very steamy). The romance is so well created. A girl and a boy with serious attraction and lots of things against them (age, a muscle-y big brother/best friend in the way, baggage) grow up, become friends, and then spend their time alternately fighting or embracing their evolving relationship. I absolutely freaking love that Jennifer places such an emphasis on the importance of friendship within romance in this series. It makes me wish for that sort of relationship in my own life. Cupcakes included.

More addicting reading from Armentrout
Find the original review here: [...]So I recently read my first J.Lynn book and good God the women writes literal book crack. I'm currently on my sixth book of hers in as many days. And I don't think there's any stopping me now. I will read ALL THE BOOKS.Anyhow, I'm choosing to review Be With Me first because this one hit me more on a personal level.I could relate 100% with Teresa and her injury. I too tore my ACL(among other things) when I was around her age. And it ruined my soccer playing career. I centered my life around that sport and than it just ended. I had to watch my team continue to play without me. It was awful. I was a moody bitch to put it bluntly. It wasn't anyone's fault(even the girl who did it to me) but I was jealous and depressed. Years on I still haven't been able to go back to playing, but I have been coaching since then. And well of course I miss actually playing, coaching is the next best thing. So that's my story and the way Teresa is feeling throughout Be With Me hit me. Those were my feelings to a tee. She has no idea what's going to happen with her life. She's had to fall back on plan B and obviously that is not where she wants to me. Knee injuries are very hard to come back from. You'll never be where you were before the injury. It takes a lot of physio and money to get that help you really need. And let's face it, only professional athletes get that. So the risk of re-injury is very high. I've had a few re-injuries. But thank God not anywhere close to what happened originally. And Teresa knows all this. She's lost her old friends because now they have nothing in common. Their off where she should be. Dancing for life. She feels weak and her body is changing. Add on top of that all the other s*** that happens to her well at school and hell I think she's doing pretty well.Jase in an ass. He was indecisive and selfish. Yes he had a lot of baggage but the way he dragged Teresa along was again, purely selfish of him. Yes, it was clear he had strong feelings for her. But hell you gotta figure out your own s*** before you bring some one into your life like that. Especially when he knew how much Teresa cared for him and wanted him.I know that's a lot of cons for Jase but I didn't hate him. I just thought he wasn't making very smart decisions. And he did have good points too. How he was perceived was definitely masking his true feelings. And you had to feel for him too. I just enjoyed Avery and Cam's relationship in the first book, Wait For You a lot more. So I was comparing Jase to Cam just a little bit.Armentrout's writing is definitely addictive. You just can't put these books down. There's been a lot of late nights these past few days. I almost want to recommend only starting one of her books when you have some interrupted hours to sit down and immerse yourself in these romances. And let me tell you, they're hot. Not holding back.I am impatiently waiting for the information regarding the next book in the series. Who's story are we getting? Britt's and Ollie's?! Jacob and an unknown?! TELL ME!

Ah... Jase...

wow just wow!!
This book is amazing, it takes you on a journey that has you laughing, crying and wanting to throw your kindle at the wall angry!!I fell in love with Jase and Tess and right from the beginning. What Tess has to go through in this book is terrifying and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. But I loved her strength!! She kept on going and never took all the right hooks life threw at her, she ducked and swerved and came back fighting.Jase was her rock, he helped her to understand that not all things in life are her fault and decisions made by other people are their choices and their consequences!! He did have a lapse in his perfect exterior but luckily he righted that wrong quickly. He is so remarkable of a character that I only hope and pray that Jlyn rights his side of the story, just like she wrote Cams. I would love to be inside that head of his!!Thank you so much for this wonderfully powerful book, it was truly amazing!!

Good Read ❤️
Really enjoyed reading the Jase and Tess story. Where Cam was hot and sweet in Wait for You, Jase is hot and intense. Will definitely be reading more of this author. It's nice to get a little substance with the sexy hot moments.
