Good product, though I wish it were a bit thicker
I've used most of a gallon of this fairing compound on a boat rebuild, and it's been very useful for filling all the imperfections in the fiberglass. However, it is so thin that it falls off the applicator tabs (I'm using plastic applicators like you get with Bondo) and I've wasted quite a bit due to this. Probably 1/6 has ended up where I didn't want it. It hardens up really well and sands to a feather edge, so not much else to say negatively. everything else is my own skill issue.

Garbage
Jamestowns epoxy fairing is excellent, this stuff is the worst fairing compound I’ve ever used. The cans were full of lumps. As its polyester with a MEKP catalyst it needs to be starved of air to cure out completely even though they say it doesn’t require wax or peel ply, it does. Without starving it of air it just gummed up my extremely expensive festool sanding discs and REALLY pissed me off. DONT BUY THIS STUFF!!

My gallon was full of debris.
I am a huge fan of totalboat products but the gallon I got was full of small bits of debris. It was impossible to use for any fairing thinner than about 1/8 inch. I tried pre-mixing it a couple of different ways but the debris looked like little shavings of plastic and the would not mix in. I had to put it on thick, to avoid drag marks from all the debris, and then sand almost all of it off. It works well when used like that but wastes a lot of product.I recommend sticking with their totalfair epoxy fairing compound. I have had great luck with it.

I needed fairing compound that could take a beating
I have 62ft aluminum sailboat that has epoxy fairing up to 3/4" in places and I needed it to stand up to rubbing the dock. So far it looks it will do the job.
