When my husband brought the Amazon box in, I was worried what I would find inside. The box was torn up, and inside there was only inflated packaging on a few sides of the interior box that was holding the mugs. I half expected a broken bunch of glass on the beat-up side of the Amazon box. Instead, I found incredible packaging around the mugs (some have posted pictures of it, but I ordered so long ago that I'd forgotten) and no destruction. In fact, those mugs weren't going anywhere in that molded foam. I could barely get them out! It made me laugh. These mugs are just lovely! I had returned some other borosilicate glass mugs that were half as thick as these and way too small (from another company.) These have just the right thickness of glass so that you aren't constantly fearing breakage, but aren't clunky and chunky. They look very nice. They are easily held - the handles are large enough for all 4 fingers to fit inside. The handles do not get hot, but look out for the glass part that contains the hot beverage, because that part DOES get hot - and remains that way, keeping the liquid warm for as long as it took me to finish my herb tea. I am very pleased with my purchase.

I was looking for attractive coffee mugs that are large enough for my 16oz Keurig setting plus creamer. These definitely fit that bill. However, I like to hold my coffee mugs sometimes by the handle and sometimes by the body of the mug. You definitely can not do that with these mugs. The handles are comfortable and a good size (I have a large hand -female) but if you try to hold your freshly made coffee in this mug by the body, you will burn your hand. The coffee's temperature can absolutely be felt through the mug's walls. Other than that, I'm happy with this purchase. I won't return them. I'll just have to hold my mugs by the handle, but I'm sharing because had I known this, I probably would have purchased a different mug. Update July 2025 I enjoyed these mugs for a while but they broke relatively easily. I realize they're glass but I hoped they would have lasted longer. I will have 2 of them but I just use them for the rare iced coffee I might make. I bought a nice set of matching ceramic mugs instead. I won't be doing back to glass anytime soon. Love glass for most of my kitchen items, but coffee mugs just wasn't it. Maybe slept, groggy me is just to hard on them first thing in the morning.
