Do you sell a version of this terminated with spade connections?

We do, but we don't list that version on Amazon -- it's hard to carry all of the possible connector combinations people might be looking for.

Are these Canare 4s11?

Accepted Answer

No. The canare 4s11 have 4 connectors wrapped in one jacket and are used for bi-wiring.  These are terminated cables used for basic bi pol connections (1 red/1 black). Hope this helps.

Will these banana plug cables work with vintage stereo receivers? Will they work if I cut the plugs off and use the bare wire for connection?

Accepted Answer

What sort of terminals do you have on your receiver?  If you have screw-down type terminals in a terminal strip, we do offer connector configurations for those but we don't stock those at Amazon.  The bare wire termination will tend to be sloppy on most terminal strips simply because the 10 AWG wire is pretty thick and it's hard to get all of it under the terminal screw unless you have very big terminals.

If you have clip-type terminals on the receiver, one of our connector alternatives -- though also not available on Amazon -- is a pin-type termination for insertion into those.  Or, bare wire works just fine, but not all terminals will accommodate a wire this large.

Are these cable oxygen free cable?

Like most plastic-wrapped speaker cables at this price point - these cables can be almost completely oxygen free if you leave them out in Space for a while. However - If you are going to be using these cables inside a particle-accelerator or nuclear reactor, the copper cores of these cables likely contain too much oxygen for the job.
