Makita GD0603 1/4" Compact Die Grinder

I love the smaller profile. It is easy to maneuver and powerful enough to get the job done.

I use this for wood carving and it's been great. It's smaller than the larger die-grinders so it's a lot more manueverable than those but still a long bodied tool. It does work fantastic for my application and it has plenty of power to really dig into hard woods. I've also used it on steel and aluminum for cutting and it does well there too. Don't expect the big machine power from this but it's certainly got enough grunt for my uses. I'm happy with it.

This Makita grinder is fantastic. Typically, online price is $125 but I found it on Amazon for $100 and change. I bought it for metal grinding, aluminum cylinder head porting, and part polishing. I bought a $25 fan speed controller so you don’t have to run it at max RPM all the time. It is very light and easy to hold. Doing 30 minutes of porting will not tire out your hands due to the tool weight. Very happy with the quality, smoothness while running, and value.

Bought this to do port work on heads and it worked really well. I have a big Milwaukee grinder which works well but the size of this is much better. Buy this one

The die grinder over all is great and it is worth it for the money, it gets the job done well and fast. Only reason I gave it 4/5 stars was because it only has a single speed and for the type of work I need it for I need a slower speed setting but great product over all and would highly recommend it.

I had the larger 3.5 amp version for many years. The 3.5 amp was pretty hard to handle and didn't get used much. I replaced with this and am very pleased.

I actually own 4 Makita side grinders and two of the big variable speed die grinders they all work great. This thing didn't have enough RPM's not as useful as my Dremel. It makes noise like its missing bearings and vibrates the one I received had a 110 Volt plug but its a 220-volt motor. I hope that Makita is not going the way of some other tool makers I can remember when Porta Cable made top quality tools. Very disappointed I needed this to fill in between my Dremel and large Makita. I guess its possible I just got a lemon.

Primeiro é bom esclarecer que a GDO603 é muito mais forte que uma micro retífica. Apesar de ser muito leve, tem excelente ergonomia e trabalha muito bem. Evidentemente não tem a força de retificadeiras maiores, mas para trabalhos que requerem acabamento mais preciso esta é a máquina certa. Vibra muito menos que a minha Bosch que tem mais do dobro da potência, é muita menos barulhenta, não cansa e faz o mesmo trabalho num tempo um pouquinho maior. Excelente aquisição.

少し大きいけど軽いのでいいですね。 砥石が結構硬いので長持ちしそうです。

This grinder is a beast! I highly recommend this if your serious about grinding.
