This works with the PS5 controller and now I can use my Bose QC35ii as a gaming headset, and have way better audio quality than the majority of gaming headsets. As far as microphone quality it is better than the headset that would come with the Xbox 360 if you remember those, but it isn’t quite up to the level of some decent quality gaming headsets. Honestly it is perfectly fine for gamechat but if you want to try streaming you might want to pick up a dedicated mic like a Blue Yeti or something similar.

This was purchased in Jan 2024. It stopped working shortly after (within 3 months). 3 months seems to be the lifespan of this boom and the two others I purchased in the past. So...not durable. Without durability, cord length, sound quality, and noise level are moot points. Very disappointing, but I like the possible upgrade to my Bose. This is for Bose, but it is not made by Bose.

I got this because my Bose was picking up my wife's voice in the background of my work meetings. It might have helped a little, but didn't eliminate the problem. It did let me use the headset with my PS5, which was nice. But it's now been 8 months and it stopped working, so a bust.

The quality of sound reproduction and capture is excellent! The mic/Bose headphone combination works on Windows 11 as well as Linux. However, the clip that attaches the earpiece to the Bose headphone earcup doesn’t always make solid contact. You have to firmly clip it on without damaging it. Now, that can be a good thing: makes for a really good & tight connection. But, it’s a solid plastic clip that slips over the edge of the earcup. No flex. And it is definitely not going to survive repeated installation and removal if you travel with the Mic as part of your equipment haul. If it were hinged or fastened by screw/spring clamping (to the headphone), you wouldn’t have to rely on the one-piece plastic lip that attaches over the outer edge of the earcup. This mic is capable of good quality voice recording. You just have to be gentle with it.

Gets the job done, but the voice quality is not suitable for professional meetings. The feedback I've got was as if my voice was a recording from the 60's!!

I am a radio amateur and the bose headphones with the microphone becomes a super combo for comfort and qulity. A very good purchase.

I have bought this replacement four times in the past two years. For whatever reason, the audio input stopped working after exactly one month and one day with no visible damage to the cords. Disappointing.

Nice solution for using Bose Quiet Comfort headphones as computer headset. Be sure to check if it comes with a splitter for PC connection if needed. This one was advertised with splitter, but did not actually come with one. The issue was raised with Amazon and I believe it has been addressed.
