I hooked this to my 12in sander it works great, no dust around my sander at all and that is saying a lot.

So far this seems like the right purchase for me. Just using in a garage shop with a few tools. Keeps the dust down and the mess off the floor.

At the time of this review, there are three different products under one heading with the product reviews for each combined. I bought the unit that hangs from the wall. Install was easy. I hooked up a hose with rubber fittings and clamps. The unit starts with a woosh and runs loudly although it isn’t too loud. The problem is it doesn’t move much air. I hooked it up to my PM66 table saw. I couldn’t hear air movement. I licked a finger and stuck my hand next to the saw blade. I couldn’t feel any air movement. So, I disconnected the hose and put my hand over the end. Yes, there was suction. But the suction isn’t as strong as my 6 gallon Dewalt shop vacuum, and it’s a whole lot less than my 25 year old large Craftsman shop vacuum. This unit makes a lot of noise, consumes a lot of power, and for what? Looking back through the reviews, I see hints. Reviewers said, don’t step down the hose size, understand the product’s limitations, and the inlet gets clogged. Hmmm…why? Because the unit can’t move enough air. Back in the day, we used to say a sporty car with a weak motor had “all show and no go.” That pretty much describes this product. My recommendation? Don’t buy.

Let me be clear, for the price this thing is amazing. My complaints are really just small issues, I have had with the collector. First off the mounting hardware included is a bit of a joke. This thing tries to throw itself off the wall every time it starts or stops. I remedied this by simply putting aboard over the top of the mounting location and wedging a piece of wood between the board and the metal mounting plate. Not the most elegant solution, but it has reduced the vibration on my wall and I feel confidant that it will not be taking a dive to the floor now. Other than that, the suction is not bad, maybe a little less than what I had experienced before with other brands, but again for the price, I cant really complain. Lastly is the noise. this guy is pretty loud, not jet engine, but I would saw it is on par with my table saw. I made a small box on the outside of my shop and mounted it out there along with the dust separator, so I can eliminate the floating dust from the filter and some of the sound. Overall a good buy and even if this review sounded negative, I still rate this thing highly and would buy again, especially for the price.

Worked as advertised, great for a small shop

I do like the dust collector and the features of it. It seems to be good quality and effective for my tools. It is cost effective for what you get but the piece that actually attaches to the wall was missing and I do not want to return it, I just want the missing piece or I will have to find some way to adapt something else to work.
