acme Dog Whistle 210.5 Black (2 Pack)

I purchased this to train our dog to return on command, something different from voice that was assured to not be ignored. So far, so good. Top quality treats add incentive. Unlike a completely silent whistle, I can hear the whistle very lightly, very lightly. But it is in no way easily audible. Good whistle, for the money etc, satisfied. You supply your own lanyard but so what, a dime a dozen, heck, put it on a rope or whatever. Happy with its performance and inaudible / audible range for dogs and humans.

I bought this to use because my neighbors dogs bark CONSTANTLY!!!!!! However, it is kinda noisy. So they know when we blow it. Other than that the dogs do stop barking!

Noisy but effective at close range.

Tried both whistles in the pack. Weak sounding, you have to blow very hard and long to get a consistent sound. You’d be much better off getting a soccer whistle. Our dog will come with a whistle but this one, he hesitates as if he’s not sure what it is.

I don’t know what kind of black magic is in these whistles but they solved a recall problem the first time I used it! My dog gets very agitated when dogs walk down the alley behind our fence and NOTHING could get her attention or break her barking/fence running. Blow this whistle and she comes running! The first couple times I treated heavily with high value treats but I really don’t think I had to. I’ve showed it to friends and when I blow the whistle even their dogs come running! This was bought on the recommendation of my dog trainer and it’s the best thing ever!

So it's real high pitched and audible to Everyone. Gets yorkies attention and beagle could care less. Not the best training tool.

A friend recommended this so I bought two of them. He has been using this product for years and said it was the best one available. I agree.

I haven’t tried training with a whistle before but this type comes recommended by the book Total Recall. It’s very small and doesn’t make a very loud noise which is a relief as I didn’t want to annoy my neighbours!

This dog whistle really works! I use it at night when I let my dog out for a potty on the front lawn, without her leash. I worry that she will run off after a skunk & get sprayed since there are so many of them during the summertime in the suburbs. I blow this whistle and she comes running to me.

but only when my baby hasnt had breakfast. We let him loose on our local oval with the other dogs and he races off. I whistle and he comes back into a heel position to get some food. Works great - but not when my husband forgets and feeds him before he goes to the oval! He can hear it from a long way too. We tested on the Acme website and this is the whistle he responded best to. On the testing he actually came and sat in front of me and stared upwards!

Love having two of them so we can call the dog back and forth. The product came on time, and we would highly recommend using a whistle for recall.
