I installed the Makingtec RGB Wireless LED Light in my car (Model X). While the device generally works as advertised, it comes with a few inconveniences that are worth noting. The wireless feature and remote control are nice in theory, but the remote doesn’t always respond reliably. At times, I had to manually turn the unit on and off to reset it, which can be frustrating—especially depending on where you’ve mounted the light. Installation itself is fairly straightforward, but the magnetic mount struggles to hold the weight of the device. It tends to fall off after some time. I tried reinforcing it with Velcro tape, but the magnet’s pull keeps detaching the Velcro. For best results, the mounting surface needs to be perfectly flat, which isn’t always easy to find inside a car. As for lighting performance, the brightness and color options are decent. However, you can’t turn on the center and side lights simultaneously—only in cycle or “breathing” modes. The dotted, crystal-style light effect looks a bit cheap in a car interior; it might be more suitable for fun or decorative setups at home rather than for a premium vehicle aesthetic. Overall, it’s a fun accessory with good visual effects, but needs improvement in design, magnet strength, and remote reliability to make it truly practical for car use.
