I was able to make my old truck feel a bit more modern without breaking the bank on a $500 radio
So far so good! I like the 10 band EQ. Easy to adjust, I'm still fine tuning it, but the sound quality seems pretty good. The one issue I have is that even adjusted as far up as possible I have to adjust my grip on the shifter when I put my 1996 Mazda pickup ( same as a Ranger) in 5th gear. I'm sure I'll get used to it, just something that someone with a manual transmission should take into consideration if they're considering buying this radio. It sticks out a couple of inches past where the original radio would. Also, if you happen to have a truck similar to mine do not go bigger than the 7 inch radio. It'll just interfere with the shifter worse and block the center AC vents. Call quality seems good, callers can hear me and I can hear them. I have the microphone clipped onto the front edge of the headliner next to the sun visor so it's as inconspicuous as possible. The wireless Carplay works fairly well. There is a slight delay between when you press pause or play and when the music actually stops. Less than half a second, it's there but not a big deal in my opinion. Considering most other wireless CarPlay radios are twice as expensive (unless they're some Chinese brand you've never heard of) its a reasonable compromise. Overall I'm happy with it. I was able to make my old truck feel a bit more modern without breaking the bank on a $500 radio

Responsive, Bright, Easy To Navigate, And Perfect Size
This stereo head unit is absolutely amazing. I installed it in my 2002 WRX to replace a head unit I had previously installed but wasn't happy with in the long run. This head unit though is top notch. The screen is a perfect size and offers a wonderful brightness during the day without being too bright at night. I was disappointed when I discovered that this unit didn't offer wireless Android Auto connectivity but, once paired with the wireless Android Auto dongle plugged into the unit's USB port and tucked behind the dash, I found the quality of the image and responsiveness of the screen to be top notch. The menus are extremely easy to navigate and the screen is very responsive to touch. All in all, this is one of the best stereo units I have installed in any vehicle I've owned and I highly recommend it.

**Resolution Update** Android auto disconnects frequently (6 cords, 2 phones)
The seller contacted me after the review and referred me to the manufacturer for warranty since the return window expired. Boss was very responsive and polite. Within a few hours of back and forth emails of diagnostics they authorized a replacement and I received an upgraded model within a week. I am very pleased with the radio and the responsiveness of the seller and manufacturer! The radio worked great for the first few months, but then Android Auto started disconnecting randomly. I have a 38 minute commute and in the beginning it would lose connection 1 to 3 times during my drive. Now it's about 7 times. I changed my phone's auto lock time so it would reconnect automatically, but sometimes it says the USB device is unsupported and I have to unplug the phone and plug it back in. Over the last 2 months, I have tried 6 different USB cords, replaced the dock connector in my phone and recently bought a new phone. Still loses connection randomly. Definitely the radio. Their website shows there are no firmware updates available for this model.

Wouldn’t even turn on
Absolute worse thing I’ve ever bought checked all the fuses checked power supply with multimeter bench tested the audio player with a battery after trying to install so to late worse part is dodges have a fragile face panel and it cracked while installing and the thing was bad when I got it absolutely 100% don’t waste your money I’ve installed to many audio players to count and I’ve but only 3 of these and 2 were bad from the start just absolutely would not work now I’ve got to replace a whole faceplate in my truck wish I’d have never found this audio player biggest regret so far this year I can’t even begin to explain how upset and disappointed I am that these companies just sell us trash and don’t care they just steal our money and cost us even more I will never in my life's buy another boss product again they make nothing but the worse garbage.

Beautiful radio! The box in the add has a great photo of the radio. Unfortunately it would not fit in my car. The length was too long
