Ramones Mania

There are a lot of Ramones' "greatest hits" compilations out there and most of them are quite good, but this is my favorite. It's packed with 30 tracks! I also like it because it includes Bonzo Goes to Bitburg which it not included on some of the other hits compilations. I think this may be out of print now, but worth buying if you can track down a copy.

Been listening to the Ramones since 1979. Saw them live many times. Whenever I need a burst of positive energy I put this cd on, it always gets me going. The song 'Rockaway Beach' is my favorite; my parents grew up right next to it. My Dad has his first job at Rockaway at age 12 renting beach umbrellas, and my parents went to Rockaway Beach on their first date. The Ramones were hardcore Punk Rock in the late 70s early 80s and I used to blare my stereo til my bedroom windows rattled. Then one day in about 1982 I caught my elegant mother singing along to 'Rockaway Beach'! The memory still makes me smile. RIP Ramones, thanks for all the good times.

This is just a re issue vinyl with no inner sleeve, actually you can't keep on reading whatever story they wrote in the back of the vinyl because it says "continues inside" what a joke. I love the Ramones and I always wanted to have Ramonesmania on vinyl so it sucked when I opened and found two vinyls in paper bags; if you can find the original vinyl in good shape with the original sleeve go for it otherwise you'll miss the whole point of the Ramonesmania vinyl: the inner sleeve pictures and history.

This Ramones compilation best depicts their sound during their formidable years (1976-88). For the casual Ramones fan, this CD hits the spot, highlighting great tracks such as I WANNA BE SEDATED, PINHEAD, WART HOG, SHEENA IS A PUNK ROCKER, I WANNA LIVE, I WANNA BE YOUR BOYFRIEND, BONZO GOES TO BITBURG, ROCK 'N' ROLL HIGH SCHOOL, and their most popular track, BLITZKRIEG BOP. There are 30 tracks in all, and each Ramones album is represented. These inventors of punk rock were a huge influence on subsequent punk groups, as well as the new wave/post punk movement. This CD is a great purchase for that party at home, or just to appreciate some great music.

Item deliver in perfect conditions and very fast, and great price; as for the content, if you are a Ramones fan this is an awesome selection of songs.

It’s the Ramones, seriously do you need a review? Ok I’ll give one. This is a decent starting point for anyone wanting to sample the music of the ramones. It has a large number of what I would say are ‘known’ tunes and a selection of not so well known album tracks from across their career. Item was on time and securely packaged.

One of the best compilation ever by Ramones.Anyway, it's not perfect (I'd choose other tracks instead of some B-sides).But, overall it's great.The prize was ok, and it was as described on Amazon (like new).The item arrived late, but I guess it was due of Easter days...I will repeat with this customer (I forgot to mention that package was also great).
