Classic Portable Yogurt Maker, 1.2L Capacity, Electric, Automatic, Medium (33603)

I use this twice a week and make all my yogurt homemade and organic now. Tastes infinitly better than store bought - much fresher - is better for you - and saves money. Not a better combination out there. Highly recommended. Only downside? The directions aren't especially helpful and not very well written.....but all you do is combine yogurt and milk (about 2 tablespoons yogurt to 800 ML milk) - cover - turn it on - and in 12 -14 hours you have yogurt.

very easy just pop it on overnight and in morning all done ! however it barely holds a litre and certainly wont take 1.2 litres - but great for the price

Only tried to make yogurt in it, from warm and cold milk, and it works as expected both times. In fact, a slightly lower temperature of milk (as opposed to when setting cured without it) works better as it allows the warm milk to rise up and circulate instead of setting quickly at the bottom while the top takes longer. The double lid makes it easier to keep it clean, and offers slightly more insulation than single. Though capacity is 1.2 l, you would not fill to the top so essentially a litre is the maximum I dare fill to avoid spillage. Scanning the QR code for warranty led to Agaro website where after entering the details, it emails to say that registration initiated and you'll hear within 5 days. However, no follow up email was received so I'll need to mail them. As yogurt makers depend on heating from bottom and sides, while the top is uninsulated and loses heat, their containers need to be sitting flush with the unit and only the correct sized one can be used. This means that having a single container can only work if you need small amount of curd each day. I could not find replacement containers on Amazon or Agaro website, so I called them and received a call back within half an hour from a helpful executive Saheli who helped me purchase two more containers. Delivery was quick and she followed up to ensure I had received it.

Worked ok for 4 days then did not warm properly. On contacting Agaro customer care was told I did not know how to use it. Got fed up and threw away the unit. Bad customer support and warranty.
