Get This on Vinyl.
I should start by saying that I am not a huge EDM fan. I saw this guy at Coachella. He quickly put me under his spell of smooth beats and sonic experimentation. The man is truly gifted in his ability to compose unique, fluid, and complete tracks.I purchased the Flume (deluxe edition) electronically, and I found myself listening to it everywhere. In the car. At the gym. Subtly, at work.My two favorite tracks are 'Warm Thoughts' and 'Insane,' but honestly the entire album is great and can be listened to from start to finish.I recently procured this on vinyl, and the experience via my HiFi has been unreal... It is almost like I get to hear the tracks for the first time all over again. There are so many nuances is these layered compositions that you don't fully hear when the audio is compressed.

Flume rocks it
I was searching for some new music and stumbled across "Holdin' On," "Sleepless," & "Insane." They were all awesome and so was the rest of the album, so I decided to buy it. So glad I did! Flume blends his beats with vocal tracks that make for versatile listening. Whether you're studying, relaxing, or going out, the tracks on this album cover it all. The sort of indie-electronica sound makes for great music to unwind with and appreciate. It's much more than dance music (although you could use it for that too!)

:::::curtsey:::::: Flume is Perfection
Absolutely flawless album. Intelligently mastered beats so intoxicating you'll find yourself wanting to repeat the entire album continuously. A magic carpet ride taking you through sensually soulful beats that'll make you want to "drop it" to the floor, to light hearted avant-garde pop that'll make your soul dance faster than your feet! This young DJ is impressive, and quite honestly a genius. Check out his remixes for New Navy and Hermitude, as well. You won't be sorry!!!

Very surprised at how much I like this
Damn this is a really good album. I"m not super in to electronic music but every once in a while somebody comes along with some soul that I enjoy(kaskade, disclosure, daft punk, shlohmo). I heard Holding On an I knew I had to check this out and after just one listen I have to say freakin love this album.

Like 2002 all over again
I mean that in a good way. So much good electronic music came out in the early 2000's by bands like stars, nightmares on wax, telepopmusik, the avalanches, boards of Canada, Ian pooley, weekend players mj cole, etc. those were the best! Flume picks up where these collectives left off in the 00's and continues on. There are some really nice tunes on this cd. In fact I've listened to not much else for the last week or two. I skip over tracks 2 and 3 and keep things mellow from 4 until the end. If you like the before mentioned bands, you'll like flume. If you like flume and don't know the before mentioned bands, you'll probably like them too! 4 out of 5 because I don't see it holding up for years. In 5 yrs, if I'm still listening to this and still enjoying it, I'll come back and give it a 5, but for now, it's great and I recommend it.

Fire
Most albums have their slow and boring parts, but this album has just about - literally - none. I thought that maybe I could use this for studying, but I just ended up getting down to this. Every song in this is fire - to be honest, I recommend this for every occasion.
