Bought these for my mother. First impression is that they are very good looking knives. Well made and sturdy. A little heavy. They are sharp as can be. So sharp, in fact, mom has already cut herself 3 times in 2 days. 5 stars!

I have been so impressed with the Chang series knives, that I have nearly bought the entire family of knives. I started out with the 8” chef knife, 6” utility knife, and 3.5” paring knife for work. I wanted to get a Shun chef knife, but they are spendy. I have bought most of the Chang series for the same price. It’s been the best starter set. Knives are durable (as long as they are not dropped on the floor), sharp out of the box, and very comfortable. I bought the Santoku set because I have prep tasks at work that I wanted to do more efficiently and needed knives without a sharp tip. I used them for quickly dicing onions, bell peppers, jalapeños, and celery. I use the 7” inch model for quartering pickles for burgers and dicing vegetables. The 5” knife is great great for dicing smaller cuts, like fine dicing jalapeño.

Very sharp, full tang. Not the weight and balance I'm used to but good quality for the price point.

High quality, knives look way more expensive than they are, and extremely sharp! (Be careful) Highly recommend. Would make an excellent gift set. Not dishwasher safe, recommend hand wash only. Easy to clean by hand though.

This brand is good, used to be better with thicker steel. Still good but not much better than what I can get at Walmart for a fraction of the price. Save your money.
