Great kit for starter/casual wear. Love that this kit comes with all of the steps. Bottles are decent size for value pack. I occasionally do gel and these will last me awhile. Great alternative to buying every step full size.

Love this kit, easy to use and works great

I purchased this starter kit, along with a couple of gelish dip powder colors separately. The first time I used it, it worked perfectly, and I was so impressed with how easy and nice my nails looked. I ordered more colors even. It lasted about 2-3 weeks which I was highly impressed with. But now I went to do a new manicure, and I can’t get the base coat open. It’s like super glued shut. Now mind you I’ve used this once and I was extremely careful with it and cleaned it up and stored it standing straight up. So I don’t understand how it could be sealed shut to the point where I can’t get it open even with trying to pry it open with pliers. It won’t budge. I’ve tried everything. And the top coat brush is harder than a rock and can’t be used either. Again I was extremely careful with these and cleaned them with the brush restorer even before putting them away. It’s been soaking for 24 hours now and it’s still Harder than a rock. I tried contacting the company to receive replacements since 2 out of the 5 polishes in the set don’t work. I was told that it is not eligible for a refund, return, or replacement. I am beyond mad and extremely disappointed in this polish and company. I loved it so much at first and now I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. I just basically threw away $50 and have 6 colors of dip sitting here that I can’t use now because your product is bad. I like this but I would definitely not recommend the top coat because it just doesn't work as a good top coat. After using this a few times I would suggest a few deviations from the instructions given in the booklet. 1. Do not use the top coat it dries matte and almost like superglue with somewhat of a white crystalline experience. I just ended up buffing it away and using a separate top coat. When I replace my base, which I assume I will run out of more quickly I will not be buying more top coat. 2. The base coat is shinier and seems to work better as a top coat than the actual top coat they provide. I found that adding a layer of base and not adding the activator after as a final step worked better than using the top coat. The activator made the base matte again. 3. I actually did buffing before adding the base coat and after the activator. This makes the nails come out smoother and gets rid of any lumps and irregularities before adding the base. If you add base before you will just have to buff through it to even out the nails. So I prefer to buff then add the final layer of base. 4. You can use the base as a top coat or a combo of the base and a different top coat- this is my preference for the highest amount of shine. 5. Make sure to follow the instructions about the thin coats, the coats should be very thin and dipping at a 45-degree angle or else you will get clumping or thickness in strange places. Also one nail at a time and tap off the excess powder and give it about 20 seconds before brushing it off just to be safe. Pay attention to the tops and sides when applying the base coat. 6. I store the brush for the base coat in the brush restorer when not in use to extend the life of it because it does harden after a few uses. Overall I like this kit and have used it with different powders from different brands.

Just like the salon uses

I used a dip powder that was from another kit with this since the other dip system didn’t work and my dip kept coming off, not lasting long at all. But with this kit I could tell the difference as soon as I added the activator. So far so good! Definitely worth purchasing for 30 bucks

I watched some YouTube videos on how to do my nails and that helped some but the damn base coat polish…..my husband ended up shattering the bottle trying to open it after it harden shut. Only used a few times before destroying it. I did see a tip of putting the polish in a bowl of warm water to help with the clumping and that did help. Really shouldn’t have to do this but if you don’t want to buy more and use what you have, give it a try.

This is the best dip powder activator, base, top coat set I have used! I have used it with two different dip powders and the outcome was the same with both. Nice, beautiful finish that lasted two weeks with no issues. After two weeks it just started to chip a little at the edges. Even the removal was easier. This will be my go to kit from now on. Well worth the price.
