Measure the size of your fittings!
Perfect, just what we needed for the tub spout fitting. We didn't realize that the shower head fitting and the tub spout fitting would be 2 different diameters. Instead of going back to the box store we ordered from Amazon and it arrived quickly and in decent condition.

Must have for Schluter tub surround job
The only place I can find these as none of the big box retailers carry them (I have no idea what folks are doing about the tub fill seal without this). It seals tightly around the 1/2" copper pipe. No way water can get past the pipe with this. I ordered a couple to have for future jobs!

How would I now if it doesn't work? In 7 years if I get a leak, there is no way I will remember to come here to update my review... so 5 stars for piece of mind!

this item has a 1/2 in hole for 1/2 in ...
this item has a 1/2 in hole for 1/2 in copper pipe. It DOES NOT FIT 1/2 in iron pipe nipples as the description would leave you to believe if you are not reading very carefully and asking questions. You need to buy the 3/4 in model to fit 1/2 in iron pipe. (1/2 in NTP)

Different Kerdi Products
Fits well. Some of the other reviews indicate that there is some confusion about the Kerdi products. In the attached picture the one on the left is for pipe nipples (like for tub spouts) the one on the right works well for shower stems.

By the time I realized the problem for my install it was too late to return, but that's on me. The problem for me is the part that protrudes into the spout did not. I am using a push to fit spout over 1/2 copper pipe that is pretty much flush to the tile on wall and so is the seal inside. Maybe fine for pipe thread or deeper recess on spout.

What can I say. It is a kerdi seal that attaches to the shower pipe. Works very well. Recommended
