The glue strip is not strong enough to hold the covers in place
Jimny has these 2 exposed electric wires on the rear windshield glass for the defogger. These plastic covers looked like the best option to cover the wires to ensure that they are not damaged in daily cleaning and accidental touching. However these covers were a bit difficult to install since their contour is not very precisely matching the shape of the window and frame. The covers sat in place after a little bit of trial and error. However they fell off on their own after 2 days of the car being parked in the open backyard during the hot month of June. The double sided tape is just not strong enough and there is very little width on the flange of the plastic part to apply a wider and stronger tape. I did not want to use any permanent glue to fix these as I do not want to leave a permanent mark on the glass or the painted frame. These are pretty much useless for now. These covers are very necessary to protect the exposed wires but unless they are redesigned and improved, they are useless as is. Disappointed with the product.
