Roof Framer's Bible: The Complete Pocket Reference to Roof Framing 2nd Edition Hardcover – March 7, 2003

Im a big do it yourself kinda guy. I’ve built small building projects and repaired/restored some existing ones. But I want to undertake a bigger one. Yet I know a lot the structure requirements but wanted a deeper understanding of the roof structure process. This will be a great tool and glad I have it for when begin my project in a month or two. Great info of things you need to know made simple.

If you’re a carpenter, you need this. It’s like the Simpson speed square book except a nice hardcover version. I’ve had it for for over 7 years and have used it heavily. (I just noticed I never reviewed it) it’s lasted all this time and helped a great deal.

The author recently started a youtube channel so you can use this book while following along. So much great information! With the video it helps that much more to understand. This is a must have!

I bought this book after watching the author’s YouTube videos. I was building an irregular hip roof and the author made it sound like all the answers are in the book. And they are if you have whole number pitches. In my case the architect scoped a 6.5/12 pitch on the sides and a 4/12 pitch in the front. However, the “Bible” doesn’t do half-pitches, so it wasn’t all that helpful for my project.I realize that half pitches are an exception, so I hope to be able to use it more successfully in the future.

I’m not a roofer or a framer, but I’m very happy to have this book as a tool to help me with framing a home that I’m building.

This book has valuable information and it simplifies things even for a rookie.
