Slip Fit Tub Spout with Pull-Up Diverter for 1/2 inch Copper Tube, Brushed Nickel

My moen spout shower diverter fell out, and was no longer functional. I ordered this item in matte black as a replacement, and it took 30 seconds to install. PRO TIP: Slide all the way onto existing pipe, twist spout sideways so it is easy to put included allen wrench into the screw on bottom, twist spout so it faces downward where you want it, and while holding allen wrench in there the whole time, tighten firmly. If you keep the spout facing downward, then its very challenging to tighten the allen screw since its downward facing. The spout and diverter both seem to work well, with no water leaking when I switch it to shower mode. The finish looks nice too in the matte black. I really appreciated that they included the allen wrench for installation. Time will tell if quality and looks hold up, will update in a couple of months.

Fully functional. Faucet was packaged and shipped with care. Only 2 small gripes of it matter to you. 1. The spout discharges water like a guy who pees with a “Prince Albert” piercing…no smooth flow stream, as it just sprays everywhere. 2. When you pull the pin to engage the shower (that part works great) and you turn off the water, the pull-pin does not release to dump the excess water. You have to push the pin back down to finish draining the line. What is superior to my old Delta faucet is the set screw. It is a full size bolt with a larger head to tighten and remove. My old one has a small recessed set-screw with a 3/32 Allen wrench tip. This was so small and over the years of water corroding it, it was frozen and the little Allen slot stripped out while trying to remove it. The replacement should not have this issue.

Perfect fit

Looks good, but the diverter works terribly. The diverter plate is situated too far away from the tub spout tube output, so a significant amount of water sprays out the tub spout at multiple angles when the diverter is engaged to redirect the water flow to the shower head. I already installed the diverter spout, so it's probably too late to get my money back for this terrible product. Save your money and time by purchasing a quality product from another supplier.

Had a Kohler spout with a bad diverter, POS can't be replaced. So I got this for a fraction of the price of a Kohler. Took like an hour to remove the Kohler and 2 minutes to install this very lovely, well-made product. I will not go into details about how difficult it was to remove the original (part of the job requiring a strap wrench and a hacksaw), but once off and in the trash, this new unit slid onto the pipe easily, one hex to secure it, and done. Perfect diversion; zero water comes out of the spout when set for the shower, and the shower has great pressure now. The least expensive Kohler was 4X the price of this unit. Super happy with the product.

Looks, fits and functions as described. Perfect replacement for my 1/2” threaded fitting and matches my brushed nickel faucet perfectly.

It works great. Brushed nickel look is a pretty close match to what we have. Some reviews said it was hard to put on or didn’t fit. Well it fits 1/2” pipe like it states and it fits perfect. You have to twist and push a bit to get the pipe past the O ring. Then tighten set screw and your all set. The diverter is nice and tight that when shower head runs no water came out of spout. Never had so much power coming from the shower head. Hope it lasts as long as the original. Even if I only get 2-3 years out of it I will buy again.
