Men's Expedition Tide-Temp-Compass 45mm Watch

This watch was a gift and he absolutely loved it. I would have liked to have more instruction inside for understanding the compass and temperature features. Aesthetically, the watch is very masculine, the band is very good quality and the silver around the face really catches your eye. So far, it is working well and wearing well. The band is totally adjustable, is made of comfortable materials and is not too heavy on the arm.

So far the watch has been great. It was a little tough for me to understand how the Tide indicator works, but once you get it, it works very well. I wear the watch every day. I like the white face vs the black...personal choice.

After 2 years, the watch face and bezel are very scratched up under normal use. The compass I could never get to work correctly. Sometimes it would work, but sometimes it was off by over 30 degrees and the directions don't really help much. The calibration is pretty bad. But the tide watch is great and the temperature is also accurate if you put it into the water so I really liked that. Overall a great watch, just not for the compass. Maybe I'm doing it wrong but I do believe that a smart phone is better to use at this point for a compass. The only other drawback is durability over a 2 year wear. But I can tell that the watch has some good internals. Overall I give it 4 out of 5 because I'm having it repaired / restored and I wear it at the beach. It's great to know where to put your chair. For less than $200 it's a decent watch and I'd buy another one.

I have dozens of different watches. This one is amongst my favourites. Looks better in person than the pics. Wears great and the movement is precise.

I leave 3 stars. Not because of issues with the watch itself. In fact the watch I love. But the band broke within a month. It broke wear it connects to the watch itself. There is a loop on the end of the band that snapped. Needless to say I purchased another band and once again enjoying my great dependable timex watch.

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT, TIMEX, OR AMAZON ANYMORE !!! NOT HAPPY AT ALL !!!!! THE WRIST BAND FRAYED AND WAS FALLING OFF THE WATCH IN ABOUT 45 DAYS. I TRIED TO EXPLAIN TO THE SELLER AND AMAZON, THAT THEIR 30 RTURN POLICY IS UNDERSTOOD, HOWEVER, I SENT PICTURES AND SEVERAL EMAILS EXPLAINING THAT THIS SHOULD NOT HAVE BROKE SO QUICKLY. THEY WOULND'T HELP ME AT ALL, JUST KEPT SAYING "IT'S PAST 30 DAYS RETURN TIME". SO HERE I GO WITH MY REVIEW !!!!! LOOK AT THE PICTURES. 45 DAYS IS UN-ACCEPTABLE FOR THE WRIST BAND TO LAST. MY BROTHER SEARCHED FOR THIS WATCH FOR A LONG TIME. ONCE HE FOUND IT AND CUSTOMIZED THE BAND FOR HIMSELF, HE WAS SO HAPPY TO GET IT. NOT HARDLY A MONTH LATER THE BAND IS WEARING AND FALLING OFF THE WATCH. I FEEL THE MAKERS SHOULD HAVE USED A HARDER MATERIAL FOR THE CONNECTION TO THE WATCH BAND ATTACHMET TO THE CONNECTING POST SHAFT. THE SHARP EDGES ON THE BRACKETS WORE AWAY AT THE SOFT MATERIAL IN THE BAND. I FEEL IM DO A FREE REPLACEMENT. IF THE TIMEX WEBSITE SUPPORT GROUP GETS BACK TO ME WITH GOOD NEWS OF A FREE REPLACEMENT, ILL BE HAPPY. IF NOT I'LL POST THIS COMPLAINT ALL OVER SOCIAL MEDIA SO THAT IT MAY NOT HAPPEN TO OTHERS. 30 DAYS USE AND A PRODUCT FAILS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE FOR ANYTHING. "CHINA MADE OR NOT" MY ATTITUDE AND ACTIONS ARE PENDIG THEIR RESPONSE TO MY REQUEST. !!!

Appearance is great with very nice features. Good face size making the hands easier to follow. The rubber watch band is comfortable and matches the appearance of the watch well. Indiglo doesn’t light the complete face, but works with low or no light. I would purchase again. Very well priced for a watch with these features

This is gonna be my new main "tactical" watch. The compass function works great and very cool. It also tells you the temperature. Haven't test out the tide feature yet. Indiglo is sufficiently bright without being too bright. One thing I don't like is that I can't turn off the beeps when I press certain buttons.
