Works like a charm on my McCann's Big Mac Carbonator. When the float stopped working, I suspect my old pump was asked to run dry after draining all the filtered water from my system. I found chunks of the graphite impeller inside everything. Opened up the old pump and yes, broken graphite destruction. Installed the new one, replaced the float and some pieces I thought were stainless but really they weren't, and added a chiller. Now my bubbly water is real nice. I would recommend this pump if it's what you need. Works great for me, I hope I won't have to buy it again any time soon!

Procon pumps have been around for a good while. They have been used for a lot of different applications. Procon understands the needs of the different applications and makes different variations of this pump available to meet those needs. Each pump model is "defined" by its number (Example: 111A100F11AA...). If you are looking for an exact replacement for an existing application that currently uses a Procon pump....then you would be well served to purchase a new pump with the same model number. If on the other hand you are just looking for a pump for a project, this one might very well be what you need. I would encourage you to visit the Procon website to look up the features of this pump (and others...). You may find that a different version would perform better for your application. I have used several Procon pumps over the past few years. All of them have performed perfectly. When mated up with the correct motor and sized appropriately, they function reliably and don't typically fail while in use. Keep in mind that these pumps are a "rotary vane" style. That means that the "internals" run in contact with each other. This means that there is some wear happening as the pump runs. Eventually, the pump will wear to the point where it will start to seep through a seal and you may notice a leak. This should be an indication to you that the pump needs to be serviced or replaced. How long the pump will run before it needs to be serviced will depend on the severity of the usage. In any event, I have never had to replace one that I installed as a new installation or a replacement. But I know that they will eventually leak if they are being used. I know it because I have seen them leaking.....and replaced them. My latest usage was in a project that did not require a specific pump model. I built a TIG torch cooler with all of the best features, utilizing this pump, bypass and pressure control valves, filters, temperature monitors, and cooling fan and radiator. The pump performs flawlessly and quietly. I did not expect any problems, and I wasn't disappointed. Five (5) stars for an excellent product that meets and exceeds all expectations. Properly installed and monitored, this pump will offer reliable service for a long time......and what's more, it can be rebuilt by the factory!!! You can't ask for anything more than that.
