Works great
Works great. Had another type of these that easily snapped. I think the lower profile of this shape makes it sturdier.

holds good no problems and i use this several times a day swinging back and forth holds very nicely couldnt keep my other mount clamped this is a game changer

Wide opening for odd sized desk edges - very sturdy
I had a hard time finding a clamp that would fit on the edge of my desk due to how the edges are designed (they have some “fancy” wood edges). This is the only one that has fit perfectly, and is super sturdy. Using it for my mic arm.

misleading
only a small part is metal , this whole product is misleading and shouldn't be allowed to say something it isn't it works but flimsy , im using a hyper x mic with a rode psa 1 arm

My regular one broke i almost threw the arm away until I saw that you can just buy the base.

Major improvement over what came with the boom arm
I bought a boom arm to use with my microphone but the clamp that came with it had problems supporting the arm with it was stretched out. It came unclamped a couple of times so it was time for a change. I found this and it works perfectly. The arm has not problems stretched out and it has a solid hold on my desk. Highly recommend if you need a new clamp to mounts things to a desk.

You can tell this ones made in China.
Amazing these companies still cant get their clearances right. The clamp screw and tightening screw aren't a proper fit in their tapped holes, but its close enough... (Will result in premature failure) Had to bore out the mount hole to a proper .51inch diameter. Clamp wedge was oversized to reduce the bore to .42 in. so I had to sand that down to fit the bore shape. base of the pyramid where the silicone pad mounts is skeletonized so I foresee that failing as well. For $11 I could have purchased a block of poly and drilled out the holes and built a higher quality one of these myself, but welcome to the future I guess.
