I am used to two-day shipping. With larger/heavier items, I will buy it with an extra day or two beyond that in mind, just incase! HOWEVER, this table came early! One day shipping was how fast it arrived. The box & packaging was good. No damage. Was sturdy & hefty, but not so much that I could not pick it up! I am a 5ft petite person, and did it on my own. VERY easy to put together. It comes with instructions, but I was able to figure it out & do it myself without instructions, in less than a minute. The table top just snaps in place & stays in place, after you fold the legs out. It is a simple, sturdy, well-done table! Does not take up a lot of space, and yet it big enough for my to use as a little desk in my bedroom. The "Wood" appearance looks beautiful. I don't know what else to say, other than this is totally worth the money! I paid $56 and can see this table lasting for YEARS because of how well-constructed it is! It's worth it, definitely buy it!

REASON I ORDERED: I initially ordered two of these desks to place side-by-side for my son and his girlfriend to use for their laptops and studying, especially w/SAH orders. They were always sprawled out on our kitchen island or kitchen table or dining room table, so that had to end. He was so busy that the desks sat there in the boxes until classes were over. I’d given him ample time to make use of them, and I saw other areas they could go (one for me, next to my bed, and the other in our guest room where a friend was going to stay temporarily), and I was excited to see how they looked, so off I went. OPENING THE BOX: I opened the boxes and was immediately impressed with the brilliant design of the desk that allowed for such a small footprint for shipping. Next I liked how conscious they were of protecting the desk, with a lightweight cover (shown in photos posted by the top reviewer). I lifted the base portion of the desk out, literally popped out the legs and sat it where I had decided it would go. Then, I slid the desk top out of the cover and rested it on top of the base, then snapped it in to place...I think there are four indentations that it just snaps in to...that easy! THE FUN PART! I put the first desk in my room next to my bed, against the windows. I had never had anything there, and it added just the right character to my little area. I put my little birds on it, my power charger (I had always had my phone and iPad laying on the floor to charge at night), a few books and a picture of my mom, and just looking at it made me happy. Then I realized, it was just about the size of my lab’s dog bed. I moved it underneath and it created a sort of den...he/we loved it! He had slept on the bed there at night, but now it was more cozy. I don’t plan to sit at the desk, don’t have a chair for it anyway, so can’t speak to leg clearance, but by choosing a chair with the right height of the seat, it should be no problem. The second desk I put in the guest room, and when our friend moved in it provided the perfect spot for his flatscreen and a few valuables. QUALITY/ESTHETICS : For my uses, these are PERFECT! I love the current color of the deep brown/grey, the faux wood grain, and criss-cross legs. It is super sturdy and the desk top seems as if it will last a lifetime. Definitely damage resistant...no carving on it like my son did on his old wood desk! Both desks set up evenly with zero wobble. I’ve had them up for about a month, and am 100% satisfied and happy with this purchase. Oh, and let’s not forget the price. I had researched desks until my eyes crossed, and for the money, these look as good as some that were four times more expensive. Quality and budget friendly, check. I’m sure most of you reading this would likely concur, that is a rare experience these days. TIMING: Last night my son asked where the desks were because he wants to put his new printer on one in his room. He and his Dad wanted me to give one of them up for his use, I emphatically said no, and that I would order another one. This morning I received an email from the seller asking for a review...talk about a coincidence, though I say there are no such things. I am on Amazon now to submit this feedback, and order one more. Ok. I took a chance and love this little desk. It arrived quickly and just as the other reviewers have said it is incredibly easy to "put together." It took me more time to get the tape off the outside of the box than it did to assemble. You just open the two sides and pop on the "desk surface" piece after aligning the plastic clips to the metal. With the crossbars, it's not wobbly and is more than enough space for my laptop, a lamp, papers, and beverage. Thoughts: 1) Perfect for small spaces. It folds up if you want to put it away. 2) It's light, so when you move it's easy to fold up and transport. 3) Sturdy. It's great - not wobbly. It is of course, not going to hold heavy, heavy items but you need to be looking for a very solid/heavy desk if that's what you want. 4) It isn't height adjustable, but that's fine for me. I didn't want another electronic thing to "break" at some point. I just wanted a simple desk with movability in mind. I find that it is tall enough that leg room isn't an issue. 5 Cost - I think it was a very well made item and relatively inexpensive.

I purchased this item because I needed a desk I could set up in a quiet space when I work at home, but also store when I am not using it. I also wanted something that fit the room décor and didn't look cheap, but that I didn't spend a lot of money on. This desk checks all the boxes. The desk arrived in perfect condition. It was super easy to set up (takes less than a minute). It took more time to get it out of the box than to set up! It will fit easily under the bed or in a closet when not in use. The desk also looks nice and fits in with the living room furniture downstairs. The reason for 4 stars is the board bows slightly in the middle when there is weight on it (i.e. leaning your elbows on the desk). This isn't a huge deal breaker since my laptop is light and I'm not leaning on the desk much. My concern is the board will permanently bow over time. That said, this desk was like $60 and the board is made out of pressed particles. I mean, you get what you pay for. The board is also textured, so you need to use a pad for your mouse or for writing. Not a big deal. I also wish there was just about 4 more inches of depth on this desk for leg room, and so I can use my monitor stand for my second screen. Again, not a deal breaker, and I knew the dimensions going in. Overall, desk is pretty decent for the price, look, and functionality.

I bought four of these for us and gave one as a gift. They are the perfect little desk. We use them with dual monitors and laptops. 1. They are portable. 2. They are sturdy and well made. 3. They are easy to assemble and take apart. 4. They are available in different colors.

My husband thought I was silly for buying this when he saw the box (he gave me the look), and I was leery too, but it is actually just the thing we needed. I expected to at least have to put in some screws, but it came already screwed together and everything. All I had to do was open the short sides up and stick the top on. I was pleasantly surprised by this and even my husband was impressed. It is a much better desk (really more like a table or just a plain work surface) than he thought it would be. The base is metal and pretty sturdy for this price. The top is cheap, just MDF, with little plastic snaps to attach it to the base. It is pretty easy to pop off, so don't put your fine crystal on it. Clearly you are paying for the metal base, not the top. I would consider buying a piece of actual wood the same size and putting the clamps on it, which would make it sturdier and higher quality. Then it would be almost perfect. It would be very easy to transport this anywhere you need to. It is so easy to fold and unfold. Just what our small house needed.

I searched on Amazon for a nice quality (relatively low priced) desk and my budget was around $50. Most of the desks I saw on Amazon didn’t have very good reviews (about 3/3.5 stars at best) and were said to be “wobbly” or “unstable”. I have a 7 month old son and I was concerned about him maybe knocking it over ( he climbs on stuff nonstop) or that it would be a purchase that would last 2.5 seconds and break. Some people had good reviews of the other desks while some people didn’t; it was basically 50/50 in terms of pros vs cons for the desks that were in my budget (also the assembly time was around 20 min to 1 hour for the majority of them, which isn’t that serious but I wanted the best deal all around. I wasn’t going to assemble something that would only collapse later). I then saw the star rating for this desk and indeed, it is worthy of its good rating. Very high quality (which is so important), assembling it took me about 3 minutes (all you do is unfold the legs and attach the top), very sturdy, and doesn’t take up a crazy amount of space (also the leg room is very good). The piece of wood for the top is very nice and thick, and again, very good quality! This is my review for now and if an issue comes up in the future I will be sure to update it. If you’re looking to buy a simple good quality desk (which also looks quite nice) but don’t want to spend a ton of money then this is the desk for you!
