I have Garmin stuff, 2- 93sv and 1- 94sv. So to maximize their effectiveness, and water resistant I bought these. The cables are good, the screw rings to attach them to your FF / chart plotter are good as well. Do not overdo the tightening, no reason to, since the O-ring seals out the moisture, not pressure. Overall I like them, they are way more expensive than Cat8 cables, but you don't get the screw on rings, and O-ring protection. Lastly, the Garmin units, do not have the standard snap clip attachment for networking cables, so if you go the cheaper route, expect the cables to drop out after a few bounces of waves. The units are built for Garmin's cables. I hope this helps you feel better about dropping the extra cash, but I'd recommend it.
