I kind of chuckle at seeing this labeled as a timer, I doesn’t say how long it takes for the sand to run its course, though it might have said on the packaging, a detail that I don’t remember. For me it is a visual toy, aesthetics for my bookshelf, along with a Cenobite puzzle cube and some other visual and motion toys. I did time it once and it isn’t accurate as a timer, it is close but the sands finish close to a minute short of an hour. It is pretty well made, solid enough construction that it is stiff enough to not be able to spin at any significant speed. It is a little shorter than my role playing books so it’s a good visual element sitting toward the front of my bookshelf.

Quality workmanship, accurate and good size for a presentation prop ("faux speech timer"), plus a great souvenir for the subjects (wedding couple).

This watch barely fits on my wrist, I've tried many different variations and balancing it every 3 minutes on my wrist is very difficult with the timelines I have to deal with at work. I wish there was some way I could tell time without it, I spend at least 3 hours a day resetting it. Hopefully I can find a wrist strap that makes this process easier. Five stars for quality, no stars for functionality
