Gojo has always been a loner because he is ashamed of his passions. Up to now, he felt that only Marin and other cosplayers held him in high regard. But in this volume, his entire school class recognizes his worth and celebrates him for who he is and for his talents. Now that he knows that he is a worthy person, perhaps he can soon realize that he is a worthy boyfriend for Marin.

Goju and Kitagawa both get a storm of fluster when they’re asked if they’re in a romantic relationship while they each reflect on each other and ponder on their own feelings. Later, their school’s cultural festival is coming up that includes a special cosplay event with an interesting catch. So the two go with a tomboy character from an “Ouran Host Club”-like show and we even see Kitagawa learn how to set up her outfit. <b>A (100%/Outstanding)</b>

The author had the opportunity to really lean in and dial up the drama with this volume, but chooses a direction I can only describe as shockingly understated. Some readers will be disappointed by this, for sure. Instead, we get to see a lot of Gojo developing and demonstrating self-confidence in small but significant ways, ultimately feeling valued by his classmates like Vol 1 Gojo never would have imagined.
