LIFX Lightstrip Bundle - with 120" Smart LED Lightstrip and 2 40" Extensions, Multicolor, 3 Piece Set

UPDATE: Last week (10/30/2022) there was a firmware update for the LIFX Lightstrip. I am happy to say that after installing this update, and several days of use, the lightstrip is working flawlessly. It is remaining fully connected at all times. It is responsive not just in the app, but also through HomeKit and Alexa. As this is working superbly, I have changed my rating from 2 stars to 5. I recently got this light strip to use as bias lighting in my home office. Set up was easy, and they connected well with both HomeKit and Alexa. After a couple of days, they stopped staying connected to my wifi. They are in the same room as the router. In order to use the lights, I need to reset them to reconnect them every single time I want to turn them on or off. I was very disappointed considering the price point and the quality of the strip itself. The lights are bright, and the colors are vibrant. Since I have this installed already, I may get a smart plug just to turn it on and off since the plug is in an odd place. Overall, mostly disappointed with what could be a great device.

I just installed the LIFX Lightstrip Color Zones, and let me tell you, they are an absolute game-changer! First off, the setup was super easy—just peel, stick, and connect to Wi-Fi. I had them up and running in no time! What I love most is how customizable they are. You can create different color zones along the strip, which means you can mix and match colors to fit your mood or vibe. Whether I’m throwing a party or just chilling, I can set the perfect atmosphere with just a few taps on my phone. The app is user-friendly, making it easy to explore all the cool features. The colors are super vibrant, way better than any other LED strips I’ve tried. The brightness is adjustable, and the range of colors is insane! Honestly, I’ve tried a few different brands, but nothing compares to LIFX. If you’re looking to level up your room or create an epic setup for gaming or movie nights, these are hands down the best LED light strips on the market. Highly recommend! 🌈✨

I was extremely disappointed when I bought a competitor product and discovered that the lights would only work when connected to the internet and the product was sending data to China. Also sad because I thought the lights were great. Clean white and brilliant colors. Mycroft recommended LIFX, so I took a gamble and bought a couple to try out. LIFX white makes the competitor's white look dirty... Brightness range exceeds anything else I have seen and the colors are stunning. While I had various issues with connectivity and the like, the new owner (FEIT) has essentially fixed every issue I have been having. My only concern is with folks reporting that a percentage of the bulbs die prematurely, especially given the cost, but so far no issues. However, all of LIFX lighting is so far above anything else I have seen that I'm ok with some failures if they come along.

Like many people I read all the reviews and watched plenty videos on the LIFX strips and they seemed like a pretty good smart lighting solution to go with my HomeKit home, I was fascinated by the color zones and the ability to animate them so I chose this strip over the eve strip.. a terrible mistake. First off it was an absolute pain to connect it to the home app and the LIFX app and I had to unplug and re start it several times before that even happened and I was finally able to get it to work.... but only for a few minutes. Then it “went dark” as the LIFX app likes to call it again, so I went about re starting it and unplugging it again and again and finally got it to work fairly seamlessly for about an hour and then I went to bed, when I woke up the lights would not respond to anything and no matter how many times I tried to re start it and turn it on and off I could not get them to turn back on, I have spent about a day and a half trying to get these lights to work and I have to say for spending over $200 on this kit and the extensions I am thoroughly disappointed. This has been by far the worst purchase I have ever made and I can’t believe this company sells such a spotty product!

The reason i don't give it 5/5 is that the app itself is not intuitive how to place the effects and colors to your scenes , also not being able to control each individual light or segment as you want from the app . By far the best strip in terms of brightness

Update 11/7/22 An update to my original review taking off a star for poor connectivity. A recent firmware update released for my strips 2.9 (for older chipsets)/3.9 with patch notes specifically reporting improved connectivity seem to be working. Where it normal for the lights to drop the connection daily and require a reset, they have not disconnected once since the update. Be warned though, a small percentage of people reported the update bricking their lights. However, I have updated 4 so far with no issues. Like others have stated, the lights are very bright and gorgeous.... when they work. The strips suffer from an unusual amount of disconnections which can be resolved by unplugging them and plugging them back in. But quite annoying for something this price when I never suffered this with cheaper brands.

Super easy to install and really good quality! The adhesive is strong 3m and stays where you put it. I’ve had mine in place for a little over 6 months and have had no issues with it coming undone. The lights are responsive and bright. I’ve had no issues with these “falling off” connection like I do with the lifx a19 bulbs. Definitely going to buy more makes the room so much fun and more enjoyable especially for holidays and parties!

10 feet of LED light for $60? I don’t get it. Nothing social about these. Get a single bulb instead.

La verdad LIFX me había gustado porque no requieres puente como con Phillips Hue y he comprado dos paquetes de tira de luces y AMBOS SE DESCOMPUSIERON. Los quiero para decoración de mi cuarto para cuando hago streams y unas semanas todo fue jijijí jajajá hasta que un día se la tira partió en dos zonas de colores. Intenté resetearlo mil veces desde el propio aparato, luego desde la app y sin éxito. Escribí directo al software de LIFX y según ellos era elegible para un reemplazo que enviaron pero nunca llegó. NO COMPREN LAS TIRAS LED. Luego constantemente hay que resetear la conexión con la PC porque se desconecta y en fin. Es un show. Una youtube (les debo el nombre jeje pero escribanme y les paso el video) confirmó igual que LIFX solo le trajeron problemas y pues usa Hue aunque carísimo pero SIEMPRE funciona. A ver qué tal.

Bought it in March 2022 and exactly 2 years later now (March 2024) it’s broken. Suddenly started flashing multiple colours and stopped syncing. What’s mad is that it wasn’t just one unit but two at the same time even though one was under my tv stand another was behind my computer screen.

The product is great however.......... It is not a UK version and does not come with a UK mains plug. This comes with a European plug. A Travel adapter was included but there is no mention of this in the description. It makes the power plugs / adapters big and bulky so not impressed at all. I have another Lifx light strip I purchased a few years back and that has a UK power supply so they are available.
