Great very bright flashlight that takes AA batteries and is very heavy duty in design. The battery life is more than adequate for home / car use and being AA, batteries are very easy to replace. It's size is just about right to carry in your front pocket or jacket pocket without being too small or too large.

This small flashlight is made of nice material. It’s strong with nice weight to it. Brightness is really good for its size. 2 AA batteries included too! Great price for the product. I recommend it. I keep it in my room just in case of an emergency.

So I bought this flashlight back in January 2024. Just got around to writing this review as I needed to use the flashlight more. So when it works the light is excellent, BUT the quality of the flashlight sucks. It seems that once the flashlight circuitry warms up from use once you turn it off it will not turn back on. If you stop using it for a while it will eventually work again, but then the process repeats itself. I never noticed the problem before, or it was so intermittent I did not pay attention to it. Now I see the issue and I should have listened to other reviews. The flashlight is great looking and appears solid, but it has a bad solder point in the circuitry or bad component. As I bought this flashlight over a year ago they may have fixed the issue, but be sure to keep an eye on reviews.

I bought two of these and felt that they are great flashlights for the price. After about six weeks of very little use they both became unreliable. Sometimes they worked, other times they did not. Took the batteries out and put the same back in. Sometimes that helped. The original batteries that were packed with them seemed to rattle a bit when I shook the light. On closer inspection, the original Energizer "Max" batteries that came with them looked different than ones I bought separately. They also had some corrosive leakage even though they still have six years to go before their expiration date.. Tossed them and put in new batteries and they are working fine (for now). The new batteries don't rattle. One reviewer inserted a metal flat washer between the battery contact and the battery to improve the contact tension and make up for what may be a weak spring. Since Energizer sells good batteries I can't imagine why they would package inferior batteries with their product. It would be better to not include batteries at all. Hopefully these flashlights will prove reliable in the long run.

This flashlight, and its baby-sized counterpart, are, without hyperbole, the best flashlights I've ever used. First and foremost, this model is insanely bright. You have to see it to believe it, and since it's so bright, all your neighbors can see it as well. It'll illuminate a football field COMPLETELY (no exaggeration, I have literally done it). There are no animals that can hide from my gaze at night while walking the dogs, and in a pinch, I could help land planes if need be while using it. It doesn't eat through batteries either, being very economical in their use. Some flashlights get scolding hot with prolonged use, but not my boy here. It gets hot, but never unreasonably so. It's super durable. I dropped it a dozen or so feet at work once onto concrete with nothing more than a scratch on its metal exterior shell. The only downside I can say about this flashlight is that carrying it around, as a male, can sometimes garner some humorous glances from the ladies as it is, without question, an impressively sized phallus. All that aside, I have bought four of these models to keep I am so impressed by them.

I am very pleased with the Energizer Vision HD Performance Metal Flashlight-- and perform it does. With 400 Lumen, it is stronger, brighter and better then any other flashlight I have owned. The 6 inch size is a real plus, not heavy but very compact and light enough to carry with you, tuck into a convenient place like a back pocket, hang in a closet or stow in a drawer. The rotating illumination size, brightness and flasher give you a great choice depending on the conditions. This flashlight is perfect for me, when lighting up the backyard while taking the dog out -- always mindful of coyotes - it's a great warning signal for me. The flashlight while compact, feels sturdy and has just the right weight in your hand. The etched sides make it easy to get a grip on, no slipping from your hand. I really like this flashlight and will be purchasing additional ones for other members of the family. #GotItForFree

I purchased this to keep in my flight bag. Reliability is obviously very important for a pilot, especially in night operations. This was the second one of these I've purchased, the first from a source outside of Amazon. This unit was intermittently faulty from the beginning. Unscrewing the end cap and back on seemed to help the batteries connect and the light would work as advertised, which by the way was very bright and nice. Shortly thereafter however, no light operation at all. Rinse and repeat. The intermittent failure gradually grew to a 70%-30%, failure to operation mode respectively. Since it was an occasional use tool it's outside of Amazon's replacement window so now it's a paperweight. Because it's another item I've purchased on Amazon that seems to fail in similar ways, I will not purchase again.
