Works wonderfully in my 12qt pot it is perfect and it also works in my 20qt pot when I am making a large batch of jam. The 10" shaft is perfect for the 12qt but kind of short in the 20qt pot it has a very clear display and the light touch spot on the top is amazing 🤩 you can just bump it and the backlight comes on. It is very fast on the fluctuations in the jam making process. I highly recommend this if you need a nice instant read thermometer

The ThermoPro TP510 candy thermometer works great. It’s easy to read, the backlight is a nice touch, and the pot clip actually holds the thermometer in place the way it should. The whole thing feels solid and well-built, not flimsy like some cheaper thermometers. Makes cooking candy a lot more predictable (I need that). What you may care about: • Waterproof design holds up well in my messy kitchen. • Backlit display is bright and easy to read. • Strong pot clip keeps the probe steady without slipping.

This thermometer worked perfectly for checking the temperature of a turkey while deep frying. The display is easy to switch between degrees F & C, the metal probe is 8” long and the thermometer comes with an AAA battery- no button batteries. But the most important thing for me was to check the temperature accuracy. Before using the thermometer, I checked what it read when the probe was resting in a kettle of boiling water. Water boils at 100 degrees C. The thermometer read 100.5 C, but the tip of the metal probe was resting on the bottom of the kettle, so I figure that’s where the extra 0.5 C came from. Good enough. When the deepest part of the turkey breast and thigh read at or above 165 degrees F, I pulled the turkey out of the oil and we found the turkey to be cooked perfectly at dinner time. I would highly recommend this thermometer because it’s accurate, easy to use, easy to change the battery (battery door has a sturdy locking tab so no tiny screwdriver is necessary), easy the clean the probe. Mine probably won’t get frequent use outside of deep frying turkey or cooking larger pieces of meat, so I removed the battery before placing everything back in the box for the next use.

Nice, easy to read digital thermometer and accurate to boot. I mainly use it for making speciality candies and my internationally sought after signature vanilla halva. Side note - Energizer Max AAA do not fit (they're too long).

Works good and is stable and accurate as advertised. Measured against a different digital contact, digital immersion used for measuring air and gases a analog and an IR and is within a couple degrees or less of each except the analog which was about 4-5 degrees of the others.

Works great adjusting to any pot size, i use it for making maple syrup, easy to read.

This is fabulous!!! I will recommend this to all my friends. I have made some English Toffee and it turned out wonderful, it was spot on with the temperature. Easy to use, and it was clipped on the pan tight. I love this. I will be making more candy, and I am going to tell everyone about this item. Thank you for a great product!

I needed a new candy thermometer after finally giving up with the old style glass the thermometer! This is it!! It has a clip to attach to the side of the pan, but most impressively is the pinch attachment to that clip that the thermometer slides into that easily allows you to adjust the height of the thermometer. First time I’ve ever made anything where I’m not constantly fumbling with a thermometer while I’m trying to focus on what I’m making. The numbers are huge, so no more facials when trying to cook in order to see the temp. It also has a set alarm so it notifies you when you’re at temperature. Just made my first marshmallows and worked like a champ!!
