Review: This book is beautiful with lots of exercises but fault lies in publisher - This book is beautiful with lots of exercises, solutions manual is also available, precise and clear mathematical concepts with Applications are given, but fault lies in publisher. Earlier Some books were published by PHI and Pearson int, now a days same books are published by Pearson with news prints and new covers like this one, Algebra M Artin, Topology James Munkres, A First Course In abstract algebra J b Fraleigh, A First Course In in probability Sheldon Ross, Mathematical statistics Allen T Craig, Hog etc. Saddest part is they deleted at least one chapter from all books. Jordan canonical form have been deleted by Pearson in this new print and there is no contents index(see attachment), besides ugly paper/print quality in these new Indian editions. I've uploaded contents of both new and old print. Review: Chapter 7 - Chapter 7 is missing only answers are given at the end. Lol, I realised this when I was checking answer for chapter 6. So basically I know answers for Jordan forms but not questions😃.

Best linear algebra book
Linear Algebra It is a very good book for linear algebra. Everything is clearly described. The most attractive thing is its exercises, its very very well for mathematics students. Exercises are step by step, I mean it is sequentially from easy to hard problems, those you will really enjoy. Linear algebra is a prt of B.Sc. as well as a part of M.Sc. in most of the universities. Matrices, vector spaces, matrix operations, polynomials, linear transformations and many other topics are very very well. I recommend this book highly...

Book is very useful and easy to understand level
Packing is not perfect so book is damaged. Otherwise this item is good

... war etwas entäuscht, da der Name Pearson ja für ausgezeichnete und didaktisch super aufgemachte Lehrbücher steht. Inhaltlich keine Kritik, aber didaktisch bin ich von Pearson deutlich besseres gewohnt

This was an assigned text for a two-semester intro graduate course in linear algebra. I previously had an engineering-oriented "matrix algebra" course, and found the level of this text to be just about right. I used this book long enough ago that I can't give a detailed mathematical review, but I found it solid and well-written. It strikes a reasonable balance (as a second course) between a theoretical and applied approach. Its main competition seems to be Axler's text (you can find his "Down with Determinants" paper online, and decide if you prefer that flavor of presentation). If you are looking for more theory or sophistication, consider Hoffman/Kunze, Halmos, or Lax. In two semesters I found six (unconfirmed) errata, and heard zero complaints about the book from other students. Exercises range from very easy (including a series of true/false that purely check recall/comprehension of each section), to fairly difficult. Answers in the back are mostly for the easiest exercises.

Me gusto el libro.

I have 3-4 other books on linear algebra, this one definitely seems the most rigorous. The logical development, as it has been presented thus far, is fine. Exercises often present additional material, which makes it hard to use as a self-teaching guide. (I bought the book for a class, but if I hadn't, I would be in desperate need of the solutions manual.) Applications abound, as well. Skimming through the book, I saw several examples incorporate ideas from physics, natural sciences, or social sciences. I suppose I will update this book if it ends up being terrible in the latter half, but I highly doubt that will end up being the case.
