Elton John - One Night Only: The Greatest Hits Live at Madison Square Garden

One of the best!

Life has forced me to admit I will likely never see certain music artists in concert live at this point.And that took a long while to accept I tells ya!But once accepted, I have a short list of artists that I would like certain live concert DVDs of.This dude is one of them.This particular DVD the One Ticket/Greatest Hits MSG DVD was a wonderful choice for me.It's 2024 - omy! - and with this DVD its just like I understood his concerts to always be. Beyond fantastic!I am honestly not a huge fan of live music unless you are somewhere near a live stage :) I have never picked up much of it either way in the live versions on CD/DVD. But my "missed opportunities" concert shortlist includes Elton John, and this DVD is now a huge fav. What a mix of just-like-being-there! And with stars like Billy Joel also!If you pick up even one of his concert DVD's, I wish for you that you will pick up this one and enjoy just as much as I have.

I have no time to write a proper review, but I will say if you are a fan, buy this DVD. At MSG, NY, he basically does almost every hit. The Video production is great. (No camera switching every 3 seconds, no video fluff),pure Elton John, in DTS Glory. If you are not an Elton John fan, but yougrew up hearing his songs (70's, 80's, 90's), you will know every singlesong on this DVD.I hold highly only a few DVD's, having been a teenager in the 70'sborn at the end of the Baby Boom. Everything you’d wand from Elton. Man can he sing and got a new appreciation of his piano playing. When you listen to his music you focus on the voice and story, but when you see him perform the piano really comes into perspective. Also, the quality and depth of his musical catalogue is incredible.

This is one of my absolute favorite DVDs...one of my favorite DVD concerts. My other fave is the "Elton John 60th birthday at Madison Square Gardens."This is actually the second copy of this DVD that I've bought. I had bought one from Amazon over a year ago, and I played it so many times that the color was wearing out...fading. And the picture was becoming blurry. It was begining to interfere with my enjoyment of the concert.Now that I have another (brand new) copy, I get to watch and enjoy it again and again....all over again!This concert is a definite 5, on a scale of 1-5!

OMG, OMG, OMG get this DVD if you even slightly know EJ's music. I love him but my husband is a big Motown fan and refuses to believe any other music is worth his time. I put this in and from beginning to end he knew every song and most of the lyrics much to his dismay. It's great. One BIG problem was his last song. The finale is "Don't Go Breaking My Heart" with KiKi Dee. Give me a break. It was such a let down I could not believe it. What's with that for God's sake???????? Otherwise that was the only distraction.
