Q: Will this bottom plate mount also fit the ulanzi coman zero-y tripod?

Yes, that's how I used mine rather than buying the newer updated tripod.

Q: Is this compatible with the pgytech plate?

Unfortunately it does not fit a pgytech plate. As I understand the plate is arca swiss type plate so the ulanzi only takes its own plate
