KEENMen's Newport H2 Sandal

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Newport H2 , 9.5 sandal/metallic grey and black. Fit is perfect true to size, and if you have a slightly broader foot print this is it! Well structured, solid platform AND ridiculously comfortable straight out the box!!! I wear it to go walking on uneven steep gravel pathways and about the house. Have yet to hit the ocean or river, but for seeing no issues! I love the big toe protection rubber facing area, in no-way does it impinge your toes. Just simply , its a well made, sturdy comfortable sandal, a well thought out and attractive made sandal! There is no swoshy movement ! Well worth the expense! Don’t go for the cheap prices, spend your money on something that will last! Keen stands up to its reputation one more time with me! Highly recommend!

Good shoes, the soles are thick rubber and wouldn't have issues walking around. I used them in the rain and on trails, no slip and very comfortable. The shoelaces adjustment is also a nice addition.Overall build I would buy again, just make sure you get the correct size. It seems to run slightly small.

So I bought hese sandals after I tried some on at a local store and they were so comfortable I HAD to have them. As a comfortable and rugged sandal they are AWESOME, I LOVE them for that and their good looks kickin around town or out on the trail. I could live in these things all summer and fall. Until...What I had no idea I was getting into before I bought them was what I have now found after a few web searches the common "Keen stinky feet syndrome." One of the selling points on the sandal itself is on the inner sole it states "Anti Odor - Anatomic Footbed." Anatomic they are but Anti-Odor they are NOT! LOL. Ive never had a problem with "Swamp Foot" up until these shoes and its only when I wear them, coming into the house I have to wash my feet with soap and baking soda to cut the smell before finishing it off with some odor eater foot spray so I can lounge around in near comfort without clearing the room of any other inhabitants. Good thing the sandals are washable because they either have to be rigorously power sprayed or washed with extra detergent after every couple of wears. I've had a couple other "rugged" sandals in the past and never had this problem but Im not going to name them because I'm not trying to promote any other brand, just a heads up for what you may be in for.To sum it up, I absolutely LOVE these sandals fit and comfort, if there was only a way to clean out the funk that ensues with them. If I didn't like them I wouldn't be putting up with the constant maintenance but as of now I'm looking for another brand (if I can't get these under control) for camping this summer because bringing these puppies into a tent for the night after a day in these I don't think anyone inside will survive the night or Ill be sleeping with my feet hanging out the door.If it wasn't for the odoriferous problem these sandals would get 6 stars.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I saw a review about these sandals online and thought why not give them a try. I'm not a sandal wearer, I always wear sneakers or hiking shoes. I've never been able to find a sandal that I liked. I've tried all different brands of sandals and never found one that was comfortable. So when I saw the online review of these "ugly" sandals, I thought why not. They cover the toes, which is a reason I normally don't like sandals, and I found a pair that was on sale, so I ordered them.When they came I immediately put them on. I'm also not a barefoot shoe/sandal wearer, so I tried them with socks. They are sooooo comfortable. The first day I was like these are ok comfy, my front toe hurt a little but otherwise they were fine. The next morning when I put them on they fit like a glove. I am so happy with them and have been wearing them all day everyday. I walk my dogs 3 times everyday, and have been wearing these. They are so comfy!!! I'm not sure they are "ugly", I don't mind the way they look, and I wear them with socks, which is a very "dad" vibe. As someone who has never found a sandal they could wear, I love love love these sandals. I bought them on sale and will be buying a few more pairs in different colors because I see myself wearing them in the spring, summer and fall.

I love how they fit so much that I've ordered them in multiple colors. I wear them pretty much all the time in the summer. Very sturdy.

I was on the fence with this sandals, they look comfy, they seem practical and safe but also they are not the most stylish thing on the planet. Ended up getting them and totally surprised with how they look! The monochromatic colors are great and easy to throw with some cool outfits, they also feel as safe as shoes but with the ventilation of a sandal. I’m a young NYC professional and feel that I can totally rock them during summer

Was a Keen fan. Not any longer. Hiking shoes don't last. I've had these sandals for less than 2 months and they're falling apart (See picture). I haven't even hiked in them. They're dog walking sandals.These were discounted. I'm not sure if vendor sold a lot (as is a specific group) that had imperfections as new/undamaged, or if Keen has just become this bad.Either way, I don't know if I would buy from this vendor or Keen. I definitely wouldn't buy Keens from this vendor.
