KRUPS Filter holder MS-622248 for XP22 / XP52 / XP56 67 x 68 x 195 mm

This works fine, replacing a 4 year old unit whose plastic handle had cracked and the metal cup began to delaminate. The only issue is removing it from the Krups dispensing head requires a slightly downward push (or pull depending on your point of view) of the handle to ease it out. I use it every day.

OEM replacement. Looks, fits and works just like the one that originally came with my Krups espresso machine.

Just not right... when I got the new filter I compared it to the old one. Something is just off. The metal finish is cloudy, I actually thought it had a film over it but no, tried washing it but still looked odd, the side flanges or whatever that fit into the machine when you rotate the filter to tamp the espresso were slightly misshapen and when I tried to just run hot water through it with no espresso to make sure it was clean and ready to use it smelled like melting plastic. As I said, something about this filter just isn’t right so I’m returning it. For background... I’ve had three of the same Krups espresso machine over the last 12 years, the 3rd still going strong for the last 4. I blame myself for the eventual failing of each machine, if you run hard water unfiltered through them and don’t clean the inside regularly the machine is going to die eventually. The most recent has lasted the longest and I associate that with a much improved water filtration system in my current house. Why not buy a different machine? It works great everyday until it doesn’t and was a significantly cheaper option than anything else out there and with my track record I don’t trust myself not to kill an even nicer machine. All that said, the filters corrode over time especially if you really abuse them and leave grounds sitting in them for too long (thank you dear husband). My current machine is working fine but as a preventative step to keeping it that way I decided to buy a replacement filter to keep it happy. Returning this one rather than drinking plastic flavored espresso, on to looking for a different supplier to buy a new filter from.

And when pricing ese machines, I was getting nervous that I was going to have to make a major investment. Thankfully, this little part fit and works great. Hopefully it will be more durable than the one that came with our unit, but I'm so relieved. Also, it almost had to self adjust - the first time I used it I was worried that the water was leaking out instead of going to the pod, but I just didn't have it in tight enough.

I love my KRUPS XP4600 Silver Art Collection but sadly it is a known issue the filter handle fails. Krups replaced the handle once when it was under warranty but has since discontinued manufacturing the replacement filter holder. I called Krups customer service, they informed me this filter holder would fit my espresso machine. We foster tiny bottle baby kittens, bottle fed every 2 hours. Exhaustive heart warming work = espresso needed. During the time my Krups machine was broken I tried using a reusable K cup. I appreciate my friend lending me her machine but nothing like a fresh cup of espresso or cappuccino on a cold winter day. Saved me from buying a new espresso machine, this supplier had it for less than other sellers. Shipping arrived faster than the estimate. Bubble wrapped for protection. Thank you for adding some umph in my step.

This replacement holder fit perfectly in our XP5240. I was hoping to not have to replace the whole espresso machine, and spending this $25 was enough to keep it around a little longer. Exact OEM replacement, equal quality as the holder that came with the machine originally. Hopefully we'll remember to keep this one cleaned out and it will last much longer.

Fits fine on my 5240, but it's cheaply made. After about a year of use (maybe 6 shots a week) the "metal" is flaking off. Really don't want to be drinking this stuff! Price is high enough that I don't think a yearly replacement is reasonable.

El producto está bien y encaja perfectamente.. Lo malo es que hay que comprarlo cada cierto tiempo porque el diseño original de Krups es un desastre y hace que se rompa con facilidad. De hecho es la única pieza que con uso diario se romperá de la cafetera, si no fuera por que este vendedor la tiene tendría que haber tirado la cafetera hace años.
